Yeah, it's not blank it should have a number below it. Copy and paste it here for order tracking:

so, those who can use tnt tracking, on your apple order screen (on the blue header banner where it says date shipped)

does it say its coming via tnt uk or just tnt???

my theory (probably wrong) is that those that can track isnt coming from tnt uk! hence the fact you can track as your parcel is in motion

Yes, well I will probably keep it at Tiger because apparently Leopard doesn't run as well on PowerBooks as well as Tiger does.

Do you think a machine like a PowerBook will be efficient enough at word processing and other tasks (e.g. surfing the web, e-mail)? Obviously I am quite weary to buy this because of it's old age, so I'm just looking for some RECENT user feedback.

Also, do you remember the screen brightness?

Thanks,

Justin

Yes Tiger does run better than Leopard on the Powerbook. I did install Leopard but have reverted back. Not used it for ages so can't remember the details. It seemed bright enough and was a very capable machine. I don't think I would pay much for one now though.

Do you think £300 is worth it for the PowerBook I'm buying?

No idea. TNT says mine's 'not found'.

I honestly don't know. If it's in good condition and does what you want then is it worth £300 to you. I know Apple stuff does tend to hold it's value a lot more than most generic PC stuff. Have you tried looking on eBay to see if any are going there. In fact I have just looked on eBay and the price seems quite reasonable.

Great idea I have one as a media centre. They are a fantastic machine and so small. Use any old monitor. But I suspect Justin might need the portability.

Yep, we've been through the highs and the lows, the outrage at Apple, the disappointment at the OS4 preview's lack of news, the American Imports, the day we found out the prices, the day we all pre-ordered, the countdown of days, and soon the day we all finally get our iPads...

ive just checked and it actually doesnt say anymore now......

on the apple orders page (after youve logged in) it says when you ordered, before it said shipped by tnt uk.... or just tnt

mine said tnt uk and i havent been able to use my tracking number at all

Sounds like we have the same experience then. Ah well, roll on Friday :)

More importantly when does the cash minus from your account I would have thought as soon as they "greyed out the cancel option" and prepared / shipped:confused:

Dont hold your breath Scott. Someone quoted earlier that they had received their goods and still their card had not been charged. Two days later I think was quoted.

Cash has gone!

Checked my bank yesterday (Mon 24th) and the debit has now left my account (on Sat 22nd).

Tracking still not working (UPS) though so no idea when he'll turn up.. Seriously hope NOT before 28th as have the day booked off and it would kill me to be at work and missed the delivery!

Must now be in a time dilation as past 3 days since shipped notification feel longer than the time since the keynote!

Ruining my sleep now as well (reading these forums aint helpin either!)
