Wow. was it not you that I had a previous issue with taking the most ridiculous interpretation of my issue to somehow discredit my complaint?
I don't have to switch all the way to the next pane to be inconvenienced by my input being interpreted the wrong way, which is what is happening. I'm not "missing" the target. The slider input target is either too small to be useful (which is ridiculous in itself given that the main point of splitting into multiple panes was to make things less cluttered and therefore larger, easier to hit targets), or the input target for the pane switching is straight up overriding it, even if you do hit it.
Anyway, if you want to dissect it further into how you think its really user error and not a design flaw, have fun. i've said my piece and filed my bug and don't really care whether you think i'm wrong.
i agree with you. moving the music controls to a second pane is a loss of functionality/reduces funtionality, whatever you want to call it (Im not going to waste time arguing over silly semantics on an internet forum when everyone knows what you actually mean).
Now instead of one swipe (up) to access often used music controls, you need two swipes (up and over). Increasing the number of interactions needed to do something that is frequently does is a step backwards. Period. It would be easier to justify if they added additional functionality that is used just as often on the first panel, but they didnt. Instead they moved the night shift icon up but didnt add an icon to replace it. Why is so prominant? are people switching back and forth more than theyre using music controls? Seems crazy. Same thing with airplay and airdrop.
Apple and has moving backwards in ease of use for awhile, which the music app is a testament too. its a shame.
