At the event, I am hoping for these words... "Mavericks will be available t o d a y"

Apart from the 'a' all that stuff at the end wasn't words, just letters.
I know, because I'm a bit of an expert on this kind of thing.

Looks like we found some of the inspiration Ivy used to come up with the 5c colors (Check out the pants in the picture).

Nah, he got it from Anna Wintour at Vogue. :D

The colours could be the colours of the new smart covers for the new iPads.
But one thing is for sure, as soon as the event is in full swing, the moaning on this forum will begin. I am sure there will be lots of : Steve would have....
There will be people angry because there still is no 50 inch iPad nor a 1 inch iPad mini.
I am yet again excited, and will put my credit card in a safe place, for a cool down period of a week.

You can't call this "The iPad Media Event" -- we don't even know iPads are on the menu...gosh.

iPads are usually released in the Spring, not the Fall.

You're joking right? Last iPad mini and iPad were released in the fall off last year.

I'm hoping they announce that it will be a free update.

Keep dreaming. This update is bigger than Mountain Lion. But even that was only £30. You'll have to pay for it, but it won't cost an arm and a leg. So to speak.

MR posters never fail to confuse me.

So "a lot to cover"

=

A. A lot of iGadgets announcements
B. a lot of colorful smart covers for the next iPads. ( so basically, it will be a lot of iPad announcements?)

It's a miracle! Let me be the first. Or do the celebratory toast err post about it. No stupid posts or whambulance posters so far whinging on our gorgeous iO7 icons or posting their alternate dumb versions of the icons.

I really couldn't care less about new iPads. I just want to update my 2008 Macbook Pro. Heres hoping for some progressive updates for the RMBP although i'm already expecting to pay through the nose for an increased SSD and RAM (because who would want more than 8 GB of RAM on their most professional laptop?)

The phrase "a lot to cover" can mean 1 or more things simultaneously.
Just like when your girl says "I love you" but really she means she loves that hairy guy from the party last week.

Maybe the pink pants are strategically placed? A hint of a new iPad mini cover color :D

Can we please stop those boring Keep Calm things, they are really boring me to tears. I might put the crazy frog as my ringtone if you don't. You wouldn't like that, would you? ;)

Just hoping that this one brings plenty of refreshed devices that sell themselves on their quality and content, requiring less (lets be honest, cliché) videos of slowly, soft spoken senior Apple staff trying to convince us that average things have been "unashamedly perfected".

All being well a new rMBP and ipad mini will be an early Christmas present from me to me.

First off, iPad Mini was announced basically a year ago almost to the day.

Secondly, what percentage of Apple's sales are Macs right now? 10 percent on a good day?

Yes, it makes perfect sense to have Mac related only items have their own specific event with the tagline "We still have a lot to cover" with another event in London as well for their weakest sellers.

The App Store almost beats Mac sales in terms of revenue...
