Pretty much agree, at least ship for the same day as they are sitting in Tennessee, at least mine is. Happened last year with the Air 2 for me, but than for the Macbook Retina I got a long time before it was in stores, so guess it works both ways.
Yeah no kidding !! I just walked into my local Apple Store and just bought a mini 4
sure.... I can do that.... drive an hour to apple..... but I shouldn't have to!
Just got my 128gb lte black from apple store. rediculous preorder. will return it when received. still in prepare for shipment status....WTF
iPad Mini 4, 128 gb/Space Grey, ordered 9/12... Changed to shipped a couple of hours ago (just now had time to post), card charged and have tracking from FedEx (delivering tomorrow by 1030 AM). Yay!!!
Now that's a specific timeslot!
Ups is on time for delivery "by the end of the day" for me .... so now I know ...... uuuh, nothing ;-)

Well, when I ordered, I paid for next day delivery by noon... I 'ass'ume that is the reason I have a specific time... ;-)
If you join UPS My Choice, you will receive a four hour window for delivery.

I hope mine comes UPS and not fedex.... my ups guy comes earlier in the day than fedex!
I agree 100%. I mean, i did buy one in store an hour ago... but this is ridiculous. WTF is the point of preordering, if I'm not one of the first to get it.
In job steve age, We have to line up for hours before apple device launch day to make sure get one in hand.
