Didn't pre-order mine, in fact I decided to get an iPad Air 2 instead, having previously used a mini 2 and...not happy with it. Just wiped it and boxed it up to return tomorrow and ordered an iPad mini 4 for next day collection from John Lewis. Comes with a 3 year guarantee included too (John Lewis doing 3 year guarantee on all iPads right now - worth a look).
how come you weren't happy with it?

Scheduled for delivery on Friday. Not too bad, but a little disappointing seeing as the models are available in most retail stores by now.

I didn't pre order, but went to Apple Store in Texas and picked up 64gb cellular. Had to convince 2 people to check they had them in stock, they didn't think they had any

I went down to the store to check if they had them on display. Sadly they didn't. Oh well.

It will come when it will come. Best not worry about it.

Just got mine at the store in sf. They have limited quantities but seems like no one else purchased any because they are not yet on display

They could at least delivered the iPad mini 4 to us today. To bad I can't cancel now and walk into a store to purchase.

this is the same crap apple pulled last year with the phones.... they put the 2nd wave to prepared to ship right before release day so we couldn't cancel and walk into the store and buy a phone.... seems to be their m.o....

It isn't as big of a problem as it sounds. Simply buy it at the store as well and return your online order. There's no restocking fee, and you can even bring it to the Apple Store to be returned.

I don't need the iPad mini that badly so I don't see a need to do it this time around.

I agree. It seems like Apple was spending all their efforts selling the new stuff but then thought the iPad mini 4 was good enough of a upgrade that most would sniff it out and not need any major hype to sell them.

They see us as a niche audience so they give us a niche device... I'm just glad they had a real upgrade for it this time around. The Mini 3 was insulting to say the least.

just received mine. Not as light as I hoped and really can't notice the thickness coming from a mini 2. oh well, hopefully its faster. Restoring now.

So far it does feel lighter and thinner than the mini 3. It's also much more responsive with iOS 9 and the screen looks a lot brighter to me.

My 64 gray wifi mini 4 will arrive tomorrow, Sep. 17. Ordered it over the weekend from Apple. Got the cheapest, crappy $10 imitation cover, which will suffice until I decide which keyboard case to get. Looking forward to running 2Do on it to manage my schedule.

I was not about to play the Apple Game of pre-ordering and waiting for shipment and not knowing if anyone would be home the day they decide it is to be delivered. So I have patiently waited and today my local Apple store showed available for store pick up :-D So bought it on line and tomorrow after work will to the Apple store to pick up. I am excited!!!

I don't like going in the Apple Store. It seems like its easier for them to get more money out of me. When I start to look around. While I'm waiting. Lol
Congrats!!
