Stock keyboard. also typing tends to lag behind. so I finish words well before they finish appearing on the screen. I just restored my iPad and set it up as new device, and I am still seeing this.

I see this every once in a while on BOTH my iPad mini 4 and iPad Air 2. I'm thinking it's more of an iOS 9 optimization issue more than hardware limitations since I'm seeing it on my iPad Air 2 too.

I am really picky about keyboard latency. its the reason I don't use a third-party keyboard.

I agree, for iPad. But silent keyboards are amazing for desktops. I love how easy they are to use and enjoy.
