The iPad Mini 6 is a lovely device but I would use mine more if it had 100 Hz display. Going from my iPhone 13 Pro Max with wonderful display to the Mini with its flickering (and yeah, jelly) display while scrolling is a nasty experience.

That screen sucks so bad i can’t believe anyone uses it. Form factor is awesome but the screen choppiness is so so bad, i thought it was a software problem.

AM I crazy or is the next generation of iPad mini the perfect opportunity for Apple to experiment with a foldable screen?
Which way do you want that?

Same area (but twice as thick) and opens up to double?

Or half the area (but twice as thick) and opens up to same size as current one?

Have to say, twice as thick (or anything like that) makes it unappealing to me. Whichever size screen it ends having.

I know I was late to the party buying the Mini 6 in May 2023, but I love it. The size is perfect and I find myself using it more than my iPad Pro 12.9 6th gen and 14 Pro Max. I will be keeping this iPad for a few years before I upgrade to another Mini.

Same.
Starting with the OG iPad, I've had several iPads over the years. The mini 6 is easily my favorite/most used iPad to date. A wonderful culmination of years of Apple R&D. Amongst other things - when paired with Pencil 2, it is a perfect mobile sketchbook. (On a side note: it also pairs well with my week-old space gray 15" MBA - quite the laptop).

Of all the spec bump potential, improved screen res is my top request. Followed by processing power. Both seem feasible - with the latter a lock. The only camera I have used, more than once, is the front-facing camera for an occasional FaceTime. That is not a device on which I take photos. That it can? cool. But not how I use mine. Otherwise, it's a pretty fantastic iPad. Interested to watch its evolution.
The Mini 6 has become my favorite iPad to use. It’s easy to transport and is the favorite size for that. I don’t see the jelly scroll that others on here are talking about. I have an Apple Pencil 2 that I use mainly with my iPad Pro. Coupled with my iPad Pro, this is the perfect combination for me.

I’d love if they just fix the terrible screen, I barely use it anymore since that slow screen has choppy animations compared to the 120 Hz Apple displays. Actually surprised that Apple would even have such a screen on one of their iPads, it would fit right in on one of those sub $100 USD tablets from Alibaba.

Best would be to get a Mini Pro with M-chip, 120 Hz screen, some extra RAM. Then I’d buy one instantly even if was a lot more expensive.

I bought a launch-day mini 6. For several months after, I simply could not see the jelly scroll that had everyone's panties in a bunch. I wrote it off as "typical forum hysteria." Then one day, I saw it (reading text in portrait). And you know what? It's not something I've thought about since - that is, until someone mentions it. 😜 For me, it's a non-issue. The 6 is B.A. If the 7 can silence the jelly roll mafia with some screen love and they bump the processor, it would be hard not to upgrade. But today, I am perfectly happy with my 6 + Pencil 2 combo. Cheers.

At least the iPad 10 is large enough to be used like an iPad.
Pray, tell us how an iPad should be used. It depends on the situation.
My iPad mini could be carried with me (in my lab coat pocket) while I would have to have carried a full size iPad.

So could an iPhone.
Yes but I could type with 6 fingers on my iPad. I couldn't do that on my phone. I used the mini exclusively for a few years (after several full size iPads) and I was very suprised how easy the transition was. The key size and spacing on the landscape keyboard is almost identical to my home Apple keyboard. OTOH, I have an 11" iPad Pro for home use.

You might be the only person on the planet actually doing that.

I got rid of my 1st gen iPad Pro for the 6th gen iPad mini. Bad idea. I thought I received a defective unit, it really is bad.

They need to go back to the aspect ratio of the mini 5. The mini is used widely in aviation and the mini 5 was a bit wider and not quite as tall. It was a much better fit for FAA approach plates.

You sound like a pilot. Just wondering... Do pilots using tablets for the approach charts keep paper copies around just in case? (belt and suspenders)
