iPad mini iPad mini Pre-order thread (Canada and U.S.)

Got my cover this morning I love how small it's gonna be, my mini and 4th gen are sitting in Louisville.....I hate waiting at least NBA starts tonight and S.O.A Wednesday and Thursday are gonna be pretty boring once work ends
 
lol, bah don't you hate it when you presign for delivery fill out the signature and put it on the door and they ignore it and put their 1st attempt notice on top of it.. and don't leave the package..

UPS stinks..

Seriously.. how dumb are these guys.. :D

My smart cover arrived in Philly tonight from Louisville, so maybe I'll receive that tomorrow. My white Mini is in Philly too; still saying 11/2 delivery, so no surprise there, although I thought Hurricane Sandy might delay things a bit. So I am looking forward to receiving my new toy right on time after all.

lucky man, lucky man. My Mini hasn't even shipped yet it still says a 11/2 delivery... Do you live in Philly? If so you might be seeing an early delivery. Happened with the iPhone 4.

No, even though they have that option, sometimes they have items they specify to the carrier not to leave, regardless. I work for an AASP, we have a UPS guy come at least twice a day, and we talk to him all the time... He says they get nothing but grief from Apple deliveries.

Ah, ok. Well, that's good. I think it's too much of a gamble.
 
Still waiting for the shipping notification - I got the smart cover, but no news on the mini. It still shows a delivery date of 11-2 but so far nothing in terms of actually shipping the mini

I think that they will part ways and your Mini will sit at your local hub. I noticed that my Mini has been sitting there all alone (okay, maybe with all of the other Minis) so I called UPS. The rep stated tat Apple requested that it be delivered on the 2nd and that's why it's just sitting there.

No, its UPS...I don't order directly from Apple very often, its usually Amazon or Target or something like that...I'm always at work during the day so I always receive those stupid slips. Fedex always leaves my packages at my door without a problem.
 
Ordered white 16gb on preorder day at 3:01 EST and had NOV 21 delivery date.

Called apple today and complained then offered me to switch to Black and get it on Nov 02. Placed the new order and cancelled old.

THe new one now says....Nov 19....WTF?


Called again and get a free smart cover.
 
Received dark grey cover in Toronto. I'm liking the size of the mini. I'll be able to grip it with one hand even though my hands aren't overly big.

my cover is stuck in KY because of sandy, and apple says my mini hasnt shipped yet. :(

i have no electricity or cell service. i gotta drive out miles for service

Did you get serial number of your mini at:

https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do

??? Then use this serial in UPS and/or FEDEX tracking using reference field You can also try using phone number you ordered with as a reference. But only in the reference field.

Mine is in Louisville via UPS one arrived yesterday night and one this morning

I live in the 'burbs about 5 miles from PHL. I work about 1 mile from PHL. But I've never received an Apple product early.........:(. I can dream.....
