Cancelled my online order. Got three Apple stores near me so I'm hoping I can pick up a 16gb or 32gb cellular mini before the week is out.

Us store gives me ship in 1-3 days gray 128gb verizon

Crap it just changed again !!! WTH...
Maybe a bug in the system. **** I'm pissed....and feel stupid...:D

LOL , I thought I had something wrong with my eyes ;)

I ordered a 128g ATT White iPad Mini w/ Retina day they were available. Confirmation of order was emailed to me at 12:01am same day.

As of a few moments ago my order has moved into "Preparing for Shipment" with estimated delivery of Nov 25th - Dec 3rd via Next Day Shipping to California.

Will see how this plays out as it looks like stock is starting to also show up in Apple stores in CA. I have yet to see 128g Cellular models but 64g are showing up.

How did you manage to get next day shipping? AFAIK, there are either 2-3 business day and standard, the former being the expedited.

Just checked the status on my iPad, and it looks like it is in Hong Kong! Or more specifically, Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong.

I don't think I've ever had an Apple product go through there before.

Honestly I have NO idea. I had called and explained I was looking to change my shipping date and this is what he offered at no charge.

I find it unusual since its always "Expedited". This is the first time I have ever seen "Next Day Shipping" on any of my orders and trust me I have ordered many products from Apple in the past.

I don't see how it is possible for Next day since I assume it needs to clear customs. All I can suspect is if these are coming from a domestic source??

As I see it move to "Shipped" status I will give an update.

Ordered 20 minutes after launch, and just saw it's 'preparing for shipment'. Ordered a silver 32gb AT&T. Can't wait to see how long it staying in this status. Local FL stores started getting the cellular models in today, but looks like only the 64gb models.

I sold my mini last month in anticipation of the new one coming out, can't wait to have a tablet again!

Hey Guys,

I am getting the loop around with Apple support about the upgrading the shipping.

Anyone here from Australia that have their order standard shipping -> Upgraded or Expedited? I need a Screenshot.

Thanks David.

Mine is in Hong Kong as well but in a different city
LANTAU ISLAND HK

It's a long story but I've been hooked up with free brown smart case + free blue smart cover + free expedited shipping but they'd seriously messed up with my order. They just said they wanted to me be happy. Well I couldn't be any happier!

Sweet! Just ordered online at UVillage... Canceling web order... Here's hoping they're truly unlocked. I'm on t-mobile and want to use an AT&T device

I can attest to it being easy to swap sim/LTE vendors. there's even a sim removal tool in the box. i went from AT&T to tmobile.

Ordered a 32GB Wi-Fi retina mini yesterday. Should have it in my hands by the middle of next week! My mom's more stoked than I am. She's inheriting my 32GB 3rd gen iPad. At 83 she's almost as much of a geek as me :D

It definitely sounds like Apple customer service was given the green light to hand out smart covers like candy if they encounter even the slightest hassle dealing with customers. That's a great gesture on their part.

My 16GB and 32GB Wi-Fi are due by the end of the day on the 19th! But this is so strange:
Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong-----11/14/2013-----2:30 A.M.------Arrival Scan
Shenzhen, China----------------11/13/2013-----11:35 P.M.-----Departure Scan
Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong-----11/13/2013-----3:30 P.M.------Arrival Scan
Shenzhen, China----------------11/13/2013-----1:45 P.M.------ Departure Scan
lolwut

EDIT: Formatting

EDITx2: Oh... I'm dumb... each departure represents each iPad, even though they provided two different tracking numbers. Hrmmm

You're not dumb! I ordered just one 32 GB mini (for 11/19, though it claims it'll be here Friday) and I have the exact same tracking info. No idea why >.>

iPad Mini Retina --- Verizon

Against my iPad better judgement, I ordered the space grey just moments ago, instead of the Air that I was certain that I was going to purchase. The device will ship within the next 7-10 business days, with an estimated delivery between Nov. 27 - Dec. 5th.

In the interim, I will play with my friend's Air over the weekend, and try to get to a store to inspect a Mini Retina. I can always cancel or return my Mini, and pick up an Air locally.

Here's hoping the shipping date is a conservative estimate, and I will have it before Thanksgiving....

So Uhh... For scientific purposes... What would someone have to say to get one free?

Not sure if this has been asked and answered, but is there a difference between each model....like the AT&T vs the T-Mobile vs Verizon, etc model or is it like the iPad Air and one model to rule them all and they all come unlocked?

Yes, asked often, and often again.

This is the shipping thread. You question is a good one, but please either check out the same question asked often, or start a new one, outside the shipping thread.

I don't think it's ethical to lie just to get something free. I mean you can do the same with pretty much everything you buy. If they somehow cancelled your order or if they said something they weren't supposed to say, you can complain about it but not sure it's a guaranteed path.

Ok, so how do we get them to say something they aren't supposed to say? For scientific purposes, of course...

Just canceled my online 32gb cellular order and did pick up in-store for the 64gb.. Figured I'd rather have more storage and get it tonight instead of waiting 2 weeks.

As far as the smart cover thing.. Not saying this works but I was planning on calling and saying something along the lines of, Oh I expected the ipad to come sooner like before Thanksgiving, can you give me expedited shipping?, and seeing if they'd throw in the smart cover for the "inconvenience"
