that is unacceptable...sorry to hear that man....

i ordered @ 11:30 am today and was able to pick it up 30 minutes after that.

DLXL model, so far no tint, but might be a different story at night, we shall see

Yeah ridiculous. And I drove an hour away for it and they did NOTHING to make me feel better about it either.

Ordered two 16GB WiFi + one 16GB VZW on Tues.

The WiFis were delivered today. The VZW shipped last night and will deliver on Monday.

For the super OCD like myself, it looks like the next FedEx departure (FX 72) to Memphis through Anchorage is at 6:20 PM local time on the 16th, or 5:20 AM eastern tomorrow morning.

My 32GB WIFI just arrived at 10:30 this morning. China to New York in 2 days. Pretty impressive.

I really like it. Definitely a keeper.

Delivered 10:40 am today.

16 gb wifi, space gray. Ordered 2am cst tues, and paid for upgraded shipping.

Called apple and they said they are giving shipping priority to the more popular att model first. Bummer!!!

My order for a couple 128GB AT&T on 12th is still processing. Either there was a huge wave of purchasing for AT&T on the 12th or the phone rep was making stuff up. I have yet to see 128GB AT&T available for in store pick up. 128GB Sprinit has repeatedly popped up then depleted. Same with Verizon, although with less frequency. Nothing for 128GB T-mobile and AT&T.

Ordered my 16Gb gray WiFi Tuesday evening and paid extra for "expedited" delivery. Was stuck in "Prepairing for Shipment" for a while.

Finally shipped early Thursday morning from China via UPS. Is showing as scheduled for delivery Monday, but last tracking update shows arrival at Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong Thursday evening.

I can understand that it simply takes time for UPS to get it here from China, but was a little disappointed that Apple didn't appear to do anything on their end to "expedite" the actual order fulfillment process since I paid extra.

With Amazon or Newegg, for example, paying for faster shipping has also always resulted in prioritized fulfillment of the order. An order with standard shipping might take a day or day-and-a-half to actually ship while order with expedited shipping go out a lot quicker.

Whaaaattt... were they via FedEx or UPS? Black or white? Expedited shipping?

WiFi models shipped via FedEx; VZW model via UPS. All were space gray. WiFi was free shipping, VZW was paid expedited, but I don't think that mattered...just gave Apple $10 for nothing as I think everything ships the same out of China. The expedited only comes into play when an item is already in a U.S. warehouse.

Apple processes and ships much quicker than Amazon or Newegg if the item is in stock. The issue with the iPad mini is the stock. They are literally filling a container and sending it out. There does not appear to be a warehouse stock to deplete any longer. $10 was not going to cut the line.

Ordered the same time, same model as you w/ free shipping. Arrived today as well. More proof to me that expedited shipping is a ruse when it come to items shipped direct from China.

Ya I thought so too but with my 5s I didn't upgrade and it took an extra couple days to get from China compared to people who either paid or got free expedited shipping that ordered around same time.

Those were some LONG couple days lol......ya I know 1st world problems.

See what you mean about supply being the holdup.

As far as Amazon vs Apple, my experience has always been the exact opposite so must be different for different people. In emergencies where I've needed a motherboard or cable or some other hardware right away, Amazon orders placed as late as 6PM ET arrive the next morning.

I have no idea what they're doing. I've had some horrible service with UPS, honestly...

It makes no sense that they'd go to HK, then back to China, then back to HK again, then sit there for 2 - 3 days.

Mine updated to "Departure Scan" from Chek Lap Kok, HK at 9:59pm their time. I'm not expecting it today.

Same here, started out in Shenzhen then went to Hong Kong and it's been there for the past two days now. No idea what's going on but it's supposed to be delivered by end of day on the 19th so hopefully it'll move soon!

32 gb space grey verizon preparing to ship. I didn't order until 8:30 am CST. I was really surprised because it said 5-10 business days.
