They are pretty uptight about not letting people get their packages early anymore.

Mine I ordered a 32gb wifi grey on Tuesday at 9am, and it was shipped later that day via UPS, and as of this morning (Saturday) still showing in Chek Lap Kok.

Same here. It was a pleasant surprise to wake up to the "shipped" notice this morning. If it arrives on Thursday (as FedEx says) or Friday (as Apple says), I'll be quite pleased. Much better than the original delivery estimate.

Same story for me in NY. I didn't call but selected hold at a fedex store if the slim chance they put it on a truck I won't have to wait around all day.
 
32GB +Cellular shipped ! just got the notice. ETA to France 11/25

I'm very surprised as it's coming from Taiwan by TNT ! Anyone else ?

Yes. My 16GB WIFI Space grey has been sitting there since 11/14 5:30PM. UPS tracking does not have it delivered until the 20th via standard so plenty of time. I suspect it ships out to the states very late tonight.
 
I ordered two at about noon on release day (Tuesday). I got one yesterday (!), and one is probably coming Monday.

Both shipped using standard free shipping
 
My 32GB white wifi has been sitting in Chek Lap Kok Hong Kong for the past 3 1/2 days with no movement whatever. Ordered on 11/12, delivery date 11/19, via UPS.

Same for me, the last entry was arrival scan in HK 3.5 days ago. But it showed up as departure scan from Ontario, CA at 7:00 AM this morning (I'm on the west coast). So maybe yours was sent out with mine and will show up soon

That's encouraging. Fingers crossed.

My sister got hers yesterday, an upgrade from iPad Mini original. She said its GORGEOUS and much much faster than the old one. Can't wait.

Mine is still in HK. It must have gotten itself in trouble & they are detaining it ;-)
 
My little bro's iPad Mini arrived yesterday - he was so excited.:D

Unfortunately today in the daylight I realized there is a huge, what appears to be a vertical watermark - on the screen. It looks like someone spilled something acidic on the screen. It looks like vertical water spots spanning from the home button to the camera.
 
This is so stupid. I order on the 12th and the iPad won't arrive until the 20th? Way to drop the ball Apple. They were available locally on the 14th but it was too late to cancel by then. I should go buy one and use it until mine comes in the return it. Free rent on Apple for this *********.

I ordered a T-Mobile one on the 12th. Still processing today. Canceled and ordered a Verizon one. I wont get it until early December at best.
