Mine is cellular, but no carrier. That's how it is in Australia when buying from Apple. We just pop a SIM in & off we go. We have the option of buying the iPad from a carrier too though. So, I was wondering, for those of you in the US, ordering cellular iPads, does that mean that they come with the SIM already installed out of the box? I'm just curious since it seems that different carriers seem to be different delivery times for you. While, for us in AU, it was just the model that determined the wait time since the carrier doesn't factor in.

Ordered on the 17th from Apple for a AT&T 16GB model. Initial delivery estimate by Apple was December 5th thru 10th. Received email from Apple yesterday with delivery on December 2nd. Checked UPS today and it is in Hong Kong with delivery now on November 27th.
Ordered on the 12th, still processing. Obviously Apple think the USA is a more important market compared to the rest of the earth.

Nope folks in the USA that ordered on the 12th are still waiting to move past processing and into preparing for shipment. It's getting old.
A bit of hope for those with minis in China/HK/Taiwan: mine came today .....in 3 days early.... it was supposed to be delivered on Monday, but it was delivered today.
The sad thing is: I haven't opened the package yet :|

Typing this on the iPad mini retina now. I ordered a 16gb tmobile space gray on launch day. It shipped from China this week and I got it today, I chose the standard shipping. I do have the screen retention issue, but I don't notice anything unless I perform the test. I might have a yellow hue to the screen but I'm not quite sure, it could be my head playing tricks on me. I'm going to wait for Black Friday and cyber Monday and if I'm able to get it cheaper, I plan on returning this iPad. I'm not quite sure I should return and get a new one.

Just cancelled mine this morning after NINE working days it was still "processing" and I needed it before December 1st. Stupid Thanksgiving means I wouldn't get it even with express shipping. Guess I'm getting an Air now.

Then why even have estimates? Or how bout a date range.
People take time off work for these packages, expecting them to be delivered on the specified date.
it's a gross miscarriage of justice. we should have those people shot, their families driven from their homes which we will then burn and throw salt upon the land.

To answer your question: Yes. Ours come with specific sim cards installed, and the sign-up page is pre-loaded. This is why some of us are having trouble with purchasing other carriers and activating with the sim cards from the ones that we want.
My Space Gray 128GB AT&T finally moved to Preparing for Shipment 4 days after the White 128GB AT&T shipped. Both were on the same order placed on November 12th.

I ordered a 64Gb T-Mo rMini in White/Silver just past midnight when it became avail, and it shipped on 20 Nov through HKG. UPS says it will arrive tomorrow (26 Nov) by end of day, but there has been no other status updates after arriving at HKG on the 20th... I'm hoping it's just that UPS isn't good at scanning the shipping progress.
I wonder if multiple item orders or AppleCare+ was holding mine up. I ordered a Silver and a Space Gray 128GB AT&T on the 12th. My Silver shipped 5 only days ago, which doesn't make sense if your order on the 13th was processed faster. My order was also placed with gift cards so the funds are immediately available. Hmmm

I would bank on it being closer to 10 days. I ordered 128gb verizon on the 12 and it just shipped today. Hopeing it gets here Wednesday as it has expitited shipping thanks to apple.
I also ordered a Smart Cover, but it was shipped separately and ended up being free.

I thought I ordered AppleCare+, but when I switched orders from a wifi-only to wifi+LTE, AppleCare got dropped. So I am going to have to call in to order it once I have the serial number of the mini at hand.

I ordered two 128 GB Verizon minis on Nov 12th, recieved them today. Was sitting in the FedEx center in Chicago since Saturday and was scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday until I called and ask them to hold at the facility. The rep was kind enough to process the shipment and get it on a truck for delivery today. Order was made with a CC and included AppleCare+ and Smart Cases, cases arrived early last week. All shipping was standard.
Got my 64GB mini yesterday. So 5 working days overall from order to delivery, both times.
