Well, it turns out mine changed this morning to "preparing for shipment."

Ordered yesterday 2:28pm CST a 32g Slate Gray Verizon rMini.
Changed today to preparing for shipment, 10:40am (ish) CST.

SWEET! After reading through this thread, I was convinced I would have to wait the full 10 "business" days. I'll keep updating, as Apple updated my shipping from standard to 2-3 business days.

Of course, the pessimist in me fully intends on the order to sit in "preparing for shipment" mode for several days....
 
64/TMO slate ordered opening day and landed yesterday. Spent an hour restoring my config via iTunes. First impression: tour de force. Perfect everything. Preferred the black back though.

Biggest surprise, sound is bigger/richer, like apple put in the worlds tiniest sub. Even System of a Down comes through nicely!

I'll let you know, as mine has been there for 1/2 day. I've heard 1/2 to a full day, but again, I'll report back. Hoping mine ships today or tomorrow!
 
My preparing for shipment lasted 24 hours. My 128 gig silver AT&T is slated for delivery on Monday.

Same exact situation. Does FedEx not deliver on Friday due to Thanksgiving? I had expedited shipping, so it would seem Friday would be accurate.
 
Today was the ship day! But apple sent an email saying now delivery time is 9th Decenber!

What on earth are they doing?

Ordered on 12th uk store.

Really messed up my plans, if they said week early I would have made alternative plans!

Bad start so far with Apple!

Anyone in UK got Celluar version yet?

FedEx delivers on Friday but not Thursday (and apparently, most operations are shut down). My delivery is supposed to be 2-3 days, it started on Tuesday, so one day would be Wednesday, and two days would be Friday. I keep clicking on the tracking site to see if they move me up from Monday to Friday!
 
128 GB ATT in preparing stage for around 8 hours before shipping today. Arrival scheduled for 12/2 via "next day shipping". Oh well, at least it's on its way...

Similar situation. Mine just arrived in TN, so I hope tomorrow it can head out to CA and deliver on Friday.

Here's the latest on my recent order, 32g Slate Gray Verizon:

11/25: Ordered, 2:28pm CST
11/26: Status changed to "preparing for shipment, 10:40am CST
11/26: Status changed to SHIPPED, and shipment email received, 9:40pm CST
11/27: In transit with a fedex delivery estimate of Monday, Dec. 2.

Very pleased, indeed, and hope this gives some of you hope if you are just now placing your orders!

FedEx definitely moved from China to the US and into my local area much faster than UPS for the first iPad. Its currently in Oakland, CA. Unfortunately, I can't simply drive over the Bay Bridge and pick it up because the package is still within a container. Estimated delivery remains Monday, even though its just across the bay.
 
Mine just got delivered by FedEx.

I ordered a 128gig AT&T silver on 11/13.
It was preparing for shipment on 11/25
It shipped yesterday, 11/26
It arrived today, 11/27

I was comped expedited shipping, although it was supposed to take 2-3 days and be delivered on Monday.

I was also comped my Smart Cover. With a clear back that I got from Amazon, the iPad is shielded from harm.
 
Wow. Shocker. The FedEx driver delivered my rMini before 10:30 AM. This was after calling FedEx to see if I could pickup the rMini and being told Monday was the earliest since it was still in a container. The FedEx website never showed out for delivery. I'm amazed that I ended up with my rMini one day later than my wife's which shipped much earlier.

Update on T-Mobile 32 Slate - ordered 11/22 via expedited shipping, estimated delivery Dec 6-13. Received shipping notification yesterday, and it arrived today in Pittsburgh.

I ordered two 128GB AT&T 12th. Long story short. When I tried to cancel for in-store pick-up on the 14th when high capacity LTE models started to appear, they could not cancel without sending new gifts card via snail mail. According to the rep the total comp value for the order could not accommodate a SmartCase for each rMini, but could cover a SmartCase and a SmartCover.
 
Will I have it in time for her birthday??

I ordered a engraved 32gb ipad mini retina this morning. Its a gift for my lady, her birthday is Dec 15. I got the faster shipping for $10. You guys think I will have it at least by Dec 14th? I fear that it won't be here in time... oh and I'm down here in Houston, Texas by the way.

I think so. Mine shipped in less than two days and shows delivery Monday. What carrier? That may influence it. Good luck!

  • received a courtesy phone call at 9:55am from local FedEx location...

I ordered my iPad mini retina Silver 32GB AT&T on Sun 11/17. It shipped on Wed 11/20 and was delivered on Monday 11/25. I was so pleasantly surprised. The original estimate from Apple was December 3-10, and I got it before Thanksgiving. I love it. The size is just perfect for me. I still have the iPad 4 for when I need to have the bigger screen, but I don't think that will be very often.
