I'm confident that the system is not broken, except they are not updating the site...

Here's my experience

red mini cover - ordered last saturday - site shows delivery thurs - delivered today

grey mini cover - ordered last saturday - site shows delivery thurs - delivered today


lightning adapter - ordered last saturday - site shows delivery 11/5 - delivered today

I'm just curious why so many are receiving updates and tracking info on their Minis and my (16gb Black Wifi) Mini still is being prepared for shipment. Usually with my 4, 4s, ipad 2, rMBP and iphone 5 orders I was the one getting early shipment. darn

Don't think I'm going to get my mini by Friday. Still preparing for shipping. No device listed in my support list. My credit card hasn't even been charged yet. I do see a temporary authorization though.

For what it's worth to other Canadians, every time I order something from Apple I seem to recieve it before my tracking information is ever even updated.

That isn't stopping me from anxiously refreshing, however.

So my smart cover was out for delivery this morning.
With a my pre-sign note and all, they didn't deliver it, and left a notice sticker on top of the pre-sign paper.

I can only find the tracking info for my Smart Covers. They are stalled at the closest depot according to UPS but that's OK as it was like that with my iPad 3. I had it before it ever showed out for delivery.

There are several of us with the same unit (black 16 GB WiFi) who are having NO luck in finding the tracking through the back door ways listed in numerous places throughout this thread.

So you are not alone but I am sure it will come on Friday as promised!

I can relax now

I was getting worried that my 32GB black mini wouldn't get here on Friday because I haven't received any kind of shipping notification. I tried doing the reference number on FedEx but got nothing. After a lot of searching on the UPS's website I was finally able to find their "Track by reference" section and it says mine arrived in Louisville on Tuesday. I live in Lexington, only 70 miles away so it looks like I'm all set!

Unfortunately though, I missed the delivery of my Smart Cover yesterday morning so I printed out the pre-sign form and taped it to my door this morning. I checked the tracking on it a little while ago and it says "Customer was not available on the 2nd attempt. A third attempt will be made." What's up with that?

Also some people in the pre-order thread.
They are idiots, and there is nothing we can do about that.

^ Damn that sucks. Lucky me I work at my apartment office as a part time manager (we don't accept UPS/fedex package anymore, only USPS we accept). So everytime I'm not home I have the pre-signed up and instructing them to deliver it to the office and they usually do deliver it to the office and I can pick it up at the office after hours.

I really wish mine was coming FedEx, my FedEx driver is awesome he actually has my cell phone number and calls me on the cell phone if I'm not home to find out if I'm in the area and I can meet him to get my package I just love this guy

My mini cover was supposed to be delivered today. They stuck the first attempt stamp on top of the pre-sign sheet.

The Apple Signature Delivery sheet overrides the

Signature required. But UPS has told their drivers to ignore the sheet and make sure they get the electronic signature. I talked with my driver yesterday and found out the presigned delivery for UPS is worthless

Can you show me how to do that? I went to UPS and tried a reference track but it won't let me set my delivery date to Nov 2nd. Says I can only reference track packages being delivered by the end of October. Assistance would be greatly appreciated

You don't have to alter the dates. Just enter your phone number associated with your Apple ID, the destination country and destination zip code.

My smart cover came on Monday. The delivery guy just threw it over my gate and left it there. Did not even come through the gate and ring the door bell or knock. I actually did not even find the parcel until yesterday!

Still no luck in tracking the mini. I have tried my cell number, the order number and the serial number on reference tracing for both Fed Ex and UPS. You do have to select country and zip code - right?

Tried my home phone # and it worked. But one problem.. It only found the package of my smart cover that was delivered yesterday. Didn't find my Mini.

So after all the extra time needed to have the pre-sign for delivery sheets available for it's customers, UPS and Apple have agreed to ignore them, wasting the time of it's drivers (multiple delivery attempts), wasting the time of it's customers (pure frustration), wasting gas, and paper, it's completely useless.

One big cluster **** of polluting bureaucracy.
I've had it, cancelling the order, and donating my mini money to animals and trees.

but I can't find it either. Bet it is in some big warehouse of UPS or Fed Ex with the tracking numbers on them waiting to get into the system at the last minute

If it is bad for us can you think of the drivers they are going to have a long day Friday
