UK delivery on 2/11 and my order has changed to Shipped. Tried UPS UK tracking but it won't work, anyone know what's up with that?
You need a UPS tracking number beginning with 1Z to track it.
Apple will supply this by phone.
However even after typing mine in, it said no data. After speaking to Ups this is because the shipping label has not been created.
However the representative confirmed all new release apple products will be out for delivery on Friday- delivery between 9-7
Order 16GB Black/Slate Wifi iPad Mini on Oct. 26 within 5 seconds of the pre-order page going live. It's been at preparing for shipment since Saturday, but I was able to find it on Fedex using track by reference and it's been sitting in Middletown, PA since late Saturday night.
The current status on Fedex is "Picked up"... whatever that means. Also, it's status on Fedex's tracking page has been "Picked up" since Saturday night as well, so I'm just going to assume that it will start moving tomorrow and that things were slowed down a bit by the hurricane.

Very much so. I must have hit refresh 500 times by now!
So is the consensus that even if my Mini is still officially preparing for shipping, that I might still receive it by Friday as it claims? It wouldn't be able to make it from China within two days, right?
Ordered 2 iPads at 9 AM on Friday. They are still preparing to ship Phone numbers, order number, serial numbers - none of these work as references on UPS or FedEx. I guess they still haven't shipped it yet. Delivery still shows 2nd of November.
I'm not sure mine will arrive on time. Oh well, it was free shipping so I guess I can't complain.

Same here. My only hope though is that my credit card has been fully charged as of Monday (not just a pending charge). I didn't think Apple usually does that unless it has been in fact shipped.
But I would really like to see a tracking number as well!
The consensus is probably that your iPad is at a major hub for UPS or FedEx in the United States right now and will be dispatched from there Thursday evening.
Even if it is still in China at this very moment, there is no issue in having it still arrive on Friday.
I have the same problem:
My status on the Apple site stated that my iPad has been shipped on the 27th
They have given me a tracking number that didn't work with UPS.
I contacted UPS, they said the number Apple gave me was more like a 'reference number' as
tracking numbers start with 1Z and are 18 digits long.
Can anyone advise, would be much appreciated.

Mine is sitting in a PA facility waiting for dispatch. The problem I have is my availability to sign for it. I could pre sign, but then my precious package will be a sitting duck in my condo complex for 5+ hours. Call out sick?
If you look a few before my original statement you'll see the answer, the wait is annoying but hopefully we'll be able to check tomorrow, I found my tracking number on the apple website, go to open orders page and click the drop down menu on the blue track button, there's the 18 digit code beginning in 1Z.
UPS or FedEx? If you've read the thread you will know that UPS does not deliver Apple products without a real person signing for it. You have a better chance of leaving instructions to deliver to a neighbor (you can do that online I think). If you leave the preauthorized form they'll just stick the "We tried" sticker to it.
Apple and UPS have an agreement to generally not release the tracking number so that the Apple do not "hammer" their site by checking their tracking every 10 minutes.

Well my mini is still in PA with delivery for Friday, my Smart Cover is somewhere because of the weather...

I ordered 1 at 6:30AM Eastern on Friday and same deal for me.
I've already made plans to work from home on Friday and will still do so but I'm wondering if this is going to get delayed now due to the hurricane.
Tried every single trick to finding my order on UPS and FedEx and nada
It's FedEx. My smart cover shipped UPS though and I had that problem today (presigned, didn't work). Is FedEx doing an early morning delivery with these since it's technically "overnight" delivery?
I live in Tennessee. I ordered the smart cover with the wifi 16g black iPad mini. My smartcover was delivered yesterday. I'm hoping to find some tracking information soon.
Im in vegas, but my mini is in Ontario Ca. Should be here before 3:00pm friday.
