iPad mini iPad Mini Shipping/Tracking Thread

Got shipping notice from Apple, saying that it won't get here until Nov 6 (next Tuesday). I am furious, as I ordered a black 16GB mini just 4 minutes after 3 am EDT. This is shipping to just outside GTA, Ontario, Canada. Damn you Apple, now I have to go lining up Friday morning.
Same here. It will most likely change tonight as they will do overnight shipping. You will get it tomorrow.
I think the email is generic and it's just taking the last day in the original delivery range from apple. You'll have a better idea once your tracking information starts working and you can see where it is.

Hopefully UPS will start tracking before tomorrow morning, and saves me to trip to the store.
Same thing here...Hopefully it's a lie, since what's the point of the estimated shipping zones if even the major cities don't even manage to remotely close to the estimated times.
Like others have been saying, maybe it's just crap, so, here's hoping - however, this is UPS we're talking about, so it'll likely show up in December.

I usually get my stuff before the tracking numbers ever work so I am not too worried...we'll see how I am tomorrow morning!

I got the same email but I ordered mine around 8am ET on the 26th (still got the 2-6Nov del date) and I am downtown Toronto so you would think it would be in Zone 1 for deliveries.
Fingers crossed it is a generic email like some have said and UPS will have timeline once they load our tracking numbers.
If someone from zone 2 or 3 would come along and let us know what their e-mail says we'd have a much clearer picture!
Here's a weird one. Received my shipping email from Apple - tracking number works on FedEx - Mini is in Indianapolis right now.
However, if I go to FedEx and enter my phone #, it brings up two shipments..the one with the tracking # that Apple sent me, and then another (with a lower tracking number serial-wise) that says "canceled."
When you click the one that says canceled, it has the same PO # and reference # as the working one, but it says: "Shipment cancelled by sender
FedEx notified to void this shipment."

For Canadians around the GTA the picture will be clearer by he afternoon. If the shipment makes it to Concord, ON odds are you will receive it Friday. Wit hiPad 3 they were delivered at least as far out as Whitby and Barrie.
Fingers crossed they manage to hit Halifax, Nova Scotia on time.
Something different: Anyone receive their iPad Mini Smart Covers? Are they worth it? I didn't order one because I figured it probably won't protect the screen very well. I don't care much about the back, things scratch, and I use an Incase bag that has an iPad sleeve built into it, so I just want something simple for the screen - is it suitable for that? I suppose anyone who has any form of Smart Cover could tell me this...
I've never had an iPad before, or handled a Smart Cover at all, so, I'm not entirely sure how strong it would be? Essentially, I would think it's similar to the Kindle covers (from the just-previous generation), except it folds?
Should I just run out and try not to freak out in the crowds of people at the Apple Store on Friday, or wait for something else? I'm glad to see they went all-fabric with this one, I would never buy one that has a metal clasp, especially with a black iPad...

Like most of you, my status changed to shipped on the Apple site in the wee hours of the AM. I had the email at 3:12am central. Mine is coming Fed Ex tomorrow!!! It has been in Tennessee since the 29th and arrived in Indy about an hour ago. (Interestingly enough, the reference listed on my tracking page is my cell number, which I checked obsessively yesterday with no luck.
)
As for those of you who are pre-signing, after seeing the debaucle with the smart covers and pre-signing, I sincerely wish you all the best of luck!! When I ordered mine I set up shipping to my parents, who are retired. My husband and I are leaving for Maui this weekend and I wouldn't risk missing the projected delivery day and having it ship here. Now I get to bring it on that 9 hour flight with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Off to get the kiddos to school and then pack!!

Personally I think they are not still there and that they just have not been scanned. At least thats my hope.
There was a UPS flight from Louisville, KY to Hamilton, ON that arrived at 6:40 AM according to Flight Aware.
If we are getting our Minis tomorrow then this is the flight they would be on. Expect to see an "Arrival Scan" at UPS Mount Hope facility some time today with transfer to Concord in the Afternoon for sorting.

Finally! It said my 2 iPads have shipped. What's more exciting is that they arrived to my city just an hour ago via FedEx!
Sadly, it says that future delivery is requested so I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow. Grr.

I have the exact same thing happening! Oh well, as long as the one I paid for arrives at my door tomorrow I am happy! Apparently mine was in Nashville all this time I have been unable to track it. It has now moved to Memphis. Get ready for warm weather baby cause you are moving to Orlando!

Mine was in Nashville too and is in Memphis now. Doesn't have it too far to Alabama anymore! Glad it's shipping with FedEx so it'll deliver in the morning
Does anybody's mini still say preparing for shipment with a delivery date of 11/2. I hope im not alone
I'm in the same boat as everyone. Ordered 3:05am Black mini 16gb, received shipping notification this morning as well with expected delivery Nov 6, even though it had said Nov2-Nov6 on apples site all week. I'm right downtown toronto on all the commercial routes for office towers so there's a ups truck going by my place 5 times a day. Here's hoping once the tracking numbers go live on UPS site our estimates change back to Nov2.
