They (UPS) put the 1st delivery notice on my form. I complained to management and I was told because it's Apple product. They have instructed all drivers it's their discretion to leave Apple products at the door. To alleviate grief and issues of stolen merchandise most drivers are not leaving 'any' Apple products at the door. This isn't a local communication but coming from management. Thieves apparently like to steal stuff coming from Apple, left on doorsteps.

I used the pre-sign form for my mini cover on Tuesday and he left it there without a problem. I was shocked because usually things don't work that well with UPS. I printed out my form for tomorrow and I'll call and complain if they don't leave it.

Don't you guys (Canadians specifically) remember the iPhone 5 launch - damn it was just last month. Same thing happened. Apple sent shipping emails stating Sept 24 or 25, people got all pissed off.

The email is generic - all Canadian orders will say Deliver by Nov 6th. LOOK AT THE ZONE MAP CHART. That's your guide.

My iPhone 5 said it would be delivered on the next Tuesday but I recieved it on launch day.

They are all sitting in concord waiting to be divided up and sent out for tomorrow.

I'm in Brantford Ontario fwiw.

This is absolutely correct. It is solely up to the driver as to whether he wants to leave it or not.The reason is many of us just tell him to leave it on the porch and the porch is totally exposed the street. Think about it: tomorrow is a double barrel launch with iPad 4's and minis ending up on your porch. All it takes is a thief to stroll around your apartment complexes and down a couple major neighborhoods and he can probably pick up 5-10 iPads that are pre-signed. He even can get started in the morning and look for the presign notices taped up and then just wait for it. I've a friend that works for UPS and he said if you put a back porch or in the garage or something where it can't be seen, you have a better chance of him leaving it....Drivers have a ton of paperwork they have to do if it gets stolen.

This is exactly why I had it shipped to my work is because I didn't want UPS to fail to deliver it since I won't be home or deliver it and it just be sitting on my doorstep.

If I live in a college dorm where the desk workers sort and sign deliveries, will the desk worker signature be sufficient for FedEx?

Just a helpful reminder for us Canadians:

Dates shown are only applicable if the delivery date on your order
acknowledgement is: “Delivers 11/2 - 11/6”

Where is this map from? I assume from Apple, but where on the site did you find it?

they will give it to anyone home or whomever you choose on the pre-sign...if you have no pre sign and live in a complex where they take it to the office, this is no different....

Finally! I got my tracking info from Apple last night around 2 am,it had been stuck in preparing for shipping since last Friday,I have tried everything to look the info up but couldn't find anything,it shipped the 29th but has been sitting in Nashville,TN since then,it finally started moving last night according to the tracking info from fed ex,I can't wait! Sold my ipad 3 to get this last week so I have been ipadless and am having ipad withdrawl:)

I found it on the View Cart page, specifically (I don't see it there anymore). If you can't find it there, I just Googled for Apple Canada Shipping Zones.

mine says the 21st and I ordered mine right at 3AM

So I live right outside of Calgary, Ab, Canada. I preordered my iPad mini black 16gb, an hour after they started taking purchases. Today I received notification from Apple that it has been shipped but it says delivery is Nov. 6th. Is this normal? On the Apple zoning map it says I am suppose to receive it Nov. 2.

Someone please help.

Looks to be normal as far as all of the Canadian orders reported on this page go. However, it's still the consensus that Zone 1 orders will arrive on November 2nd, regardless of the November 6th ETA. I guess we'll wait and see what UPS has to say once the tracking number actually has information.

Thank you for your quick response.

Ordered both an iPad 4th-gen and iPad Mini. Both shipped via FedEx and are about 100 miles from my house. Scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, 11/2.

Pretty disappointed...

I ordered as soon as the store went live early morning on the 26th and I just got my shipping email staying it shipped yesterday (October 31) and will arrive on Tuesday, November 6th. This, on top of the fact I'm in the "zone 1" November 2nd delivery area, which makes it even more annoying...

I live in Nova Scotia (Canada). Looks like Canadian orders are not exactly shipping in the same priority as American - at least not mine. Shipping via UPS.

Ditto, I'm in downtown Vancouver and in Zone 1. It even said it was shipped October 28/12 yet i'm still getting it on Nov 6? My smart cover shipped on the 27th and I got it the 31st (quoted for Nov 1) so I'm thinking they are just being generous with their times.
