iPad mini iPad Mini Shipping/Tracking Thread

I live in the DC area and I have the same tracking status. I called UPS and they said they had a truck breakdown but that there is still a "chance" that the iPad mini might get delivered today, but if not, they have an agreement with Apple to deliver it tomorrow on Saturday. The rep told me to continue to monitor the tracking status online.
I can live with Saturday delivery. No need to go off to a store. Monday would have been too long. Thanks for checking.
Still hoping they do a second run today and it makes that. I think UPS does a business run first and then a residential run, particularly on peaky types of days.
I run a truck repair / rental place in the area. They should have called me. I would have pulled the trailer to Jessup myself!!

Mine's currently out on the truck. I'm in class right now and I get out in 50 minutes, it better be there when I get home!! (yes, someone is home to sign)
Was your tracking on UPS updating? I am in Toronto and mine hasn't updated in like forever.
You better learn when to cut class. Nothing is more important than an Apple Delivery!!
UPS always comes SO LATE here. I won't even have it until 6pm this evening, if not later.
Mine's guaranteed by 3pm. But I'm also FedEx so that might be a difference.

Mine now shows as out for delivery. UPS system is definitely not real time. Lags a few hours.
I'm usually pro UPS not FedEx but with Apple preorder deliveries I'm all for FedEx.

Just out of curiosity...Did you order the 4 with LTE?
The reason reason I ask is that I am planing to get both, (The 4 and the mini) but only one with LTE. Have not decided yet wich one will have LTE. I still have the truly unlimited plan from AT&T.

I'd go with the LTE on your 4. You have an iPhone I presume so the gap between a 4 inch phone and a 9 inch tablet is much larger to have 2 LTE devices rather than having a 4" LTE device and a 7" LTE device.

Don't panic yet. They don't update it all that often. I've mentioned a few times that on release day my iPad 3 showed "Destination Scan" in Concord right up until it was delivered at about 11:30 or so.
No joy in Scarborough yet. I had to pick my son up from school and they were late coming out, and I was beside myself worrying that I'd miss UPS. Got home to no tag, so I guess I'm still on the list for delivery today.
I just called again (yeah I'm impatient lol) the UPS said that its in transit and currently in Burtonsville, MD, which is 20 minutes away from me, and that I "should" receive it today.
Thanks for checking. I should have just went to Best Buy but I probably would not have got the two white mini's I wanted.
That's the main terminal for this area. If they do their evening runs we should get it. Might be as late as 7-8pm though.
