There is good reason for TouchID on the mini. I'd prefer to have both, Touch ID and FaceID, but in case of <or> it's gonna be Touch ID simply for the reason that the tablet too often just rests on a table and the face actually may be out of reach for FaceID...Me: Please have FaceID. Please have FaceID. Please have FaceID.
Apple: Here is TouchID at the corner on a slim button.
No. Please not. They are needed to actually hold the device firmly.Shrink the massive bezels please.
If they dont put a decent processor in it then it wont be a good multitasking experience.A17 Pro is cheaper and enough for most features, M1 gets hotter and most multitasking features are not ideal for iPad mini screen anyway.
What's with your tagline/bragline? You just buy one of everything as it is released to add to the list?Glad that I bought iPad Pro 13 M4 LTE 1 TB (regular glass) few months back with Magic Keyboard for $2300 including some student discounts. This will be the long served iPad model I think. No need to upgrade for another 6-8 years.
It some of them belong to my family members, not all that I use it myself. What's with your tagline/bragline? You just buy one of everything as it is released to add to the list?
Make me think the first M5 device will join it quickly...
Was going to say "on a student discount" as wellIt some of them belong to my family members, not all that I use it myself.
Yes, with tax iPad Pro M4 1 TB with Magic Key board + US Government Tax, went a long way beyond $2500!Was going to say "on a student discount" as well![]()
Have a mini 6–sadly the jelly scroll is as annoying and prevalent as we always fearedBack in the day… I was planning on getting an iPad mini 6 and was excited about it — until I saw the Jelly Scroll. No iPad mini for me.
Maybe this next one will be better.
Unlikely. It's not a big seller. For one reason, Apple priced it out of reach for most people with the 1TB requirement. Please include nano texture option in all configurations. It is a must going forward and the only reason I would upgrade my mini 6.
I replaced my iPhone 13 Pro Max with an iPhone 15 and I will buy the Ipad Mini 7 as soon as possible!I don't see the appeal. I have a 15PM Nd iPad Pro. Mini just seems unnecessary.
If there were multiple mini iPad options that would be great. But since there is only one they need to strike a good balance for ALL the different people who want a mini iPad. And that means not making it a budget iPad. I think where it is positioned right now (a mini iPad Air vs a mini iPad 10 or mini iPad Pro) is the way to go.Just make it cheaper and give it slightly more storage.
The Mini would be an excellent reader and media device for the commute and the occasional business trip, but it's just too expensive for that.
It doesn’t need to be a big seller. It’s a $100 option for those who want so it pays for itself. And it shouldn’t be used to force people to storage they don’t need. Besides the more people that experience it the more that will want it. I expect to see it as an option everywhere, iPhone included, and as the little iPad gets refreshed so rarely I sure hope we get it now. Otherwise no reason to upgrade.Unlikely. It's not a big seller. I think most of us accept the fact that MacRumors is very much about rumors, some more likely than others. You said it is DEFINITIVELY September 10th! You were wrong!! Stop presenting rumours as FACTS! You don’t know ANYTHING!

I see it more as an alternative to an E-reader like the Kindles, but Apple branded. Others may not need all the bells and whistles of the Pro’s or the non-Pro’s. Others may prefer a smaller form factor for home use or on-the-go workflows that don’t require much screen size or something lightweight for travel.I don't see the appeal. I have a 15PM Nd iPad Pro. I agree with the point. They shouldn’t offer nano only at the most expensive configurations especially as it isn’t a free perk if one chooses more storage, like the added ram and added core that come for free. As it is a paid option it should be available in any configuration. And I think they only introduced it in such a way and it will find its way to all Apple displays. And as the mini is rarely updated and also an expensive product for the screen you get, I hope that they treat us to the nano now.Point is: Why does Apple require you to buy 1TB at insanely inflated prices to have nano? If they were to offer nano as simply a $100 option, then it would be more likely that the Mini could see this. btw, I have nano.
