Screw it, order changed to black. 2nd November delivery. don't know why Apple would have problems with white ones 2 mins after the store opened!
Hoping this may change on the white ones but i can wait.....for once!!
Doesn't look like it, in the other thread people are getting the dates in order status now between 15th and 20th.
My white 16GB is now showing as "Delivers 15th Nov" A little disappointing but not the end of the world. I bet there will be white mini's in store on the 2nd though.
Order 2 x white ones for, what will be, two very spoilt children at Christmas.
Order confirmation was 8:09am 2 weeks delivery (both white).
Hopefully they figure a way to send them on the 2nd, but not too upset if they don't, don't technically need them till 25th of December.

The iPad Mini is IDEAL for children IMO, and they knock the spots off other hand-held children's devices (such as v-tech and Leap-pad/sters) with their endless versatility.
The parental controls on iOS enhance their suitability, as does the fact that you'd only need to buy games or apps once, and they could be installed on both children's mini's
I only wish I could afford another two for my two!

Ordered a 64GB black 3G version for delivery 'end of November' and saw that Three are the only company at present to be ready with nano data sims! Should work out well for them!
I got the free sim but am hoping that samba mobile (who use three) will have nano sims by the time I need to use it!
Let the waiting commence .. . And continue .... on and .... on ...
Luckily I have my kindle paper white to play with in the meantime!

I would agree as long as you don't have heavy handed kids
We considered things like kindle fire etc. but the wife has an iPhone 5, I have a 4s (decided not to upgrade), so things like facetime are perfect for them, as is iMessage.
Never thought about sharing an app store account. Tend to set them up separate.
Without knowing stock numbers it's hard to say. The UK nigh have only been allocated a smaller amount, for example, say 10 thousand, while the US has 200 thousand allocated.

If you are wanting a 16GB you'll need to be setting a very early alarm if you are going to try and get one at Bluewater.

Didnt realise it was open at 8.00 and ordered at 9 from apple and now it says delivery on the 12th of novembre.. I wanted it next week !!
Take it if I was to get one in Apple shop on launch day then I will be able to get a refund on the one I ordered this morning from apple , as it will be unopened ?

Think I'd probably go for the 64gb black. I know I'll end up filling the 16gb up in no time. Although I could probably stretch to an apple tv as well that way I can stream vids from my mac to my iPad and tv that might be an option and a space saver too.
Not sure I'll figure it out though.
Apple give a 14 day return, so can send it back no problem, if you cancel before dispatch and used a CC they will cancel without even charging your card.
64GB? Probably no problem, it is the model that is least likely to sell out.
UK on-line store saying dispatch time now 2 weeks for base black model
16GB black went out of stock around 9am.
