Customs has inspected and it is released for loading and transport.

Same thing will happens once it gets to the US (Memphis)

US Customs will inspect and release for transport.

For those checking via reference number, it doesn't work despite my having a tracking number, so I guess this loophole isn't a dependable way anymore.

Same here. Although (i) my iPad 4 was supposed to come the 19th and arrived yesterday the 15th so there is hope and (ii) I'm struggling to agree that there are more important things in the world and I should treat this as no big deal.
 
AT&T, 32GB, White to NH now "On truck for delivery..."

Ordered mine on pre-order morning (8am EST) and it's left the local sort facility "on the truck for delivery" today at 8:50am (which seems really late IMHO).

Time to hang the pre-sign notes, fingers crossed for today. Here's my shipping history if anybody cares. Seems mine made much quicker progress than others. Best of luck all.

16 GB, White, AT&T, OUT ON TRUCK FOR DELIVERY!! <Jumping up and down>

I saw when I got done at the gym that it said at the Fedex facility so I drove by. The truck had just left with it so it will be delivered sometime today.

ordered mine on pre-order morning at 3:02am EST, still scheduled for 11/20 (next Tues). grouse grouse grouse.
 
Oh this is grand. I'm at an AT&T store at 9AM sharp ready to make a purchase of an ipad mini 64GB ( plan was to purchase and then cancel the online order).... a few seconds before I swipe my CC , I get an iCloud email that my iPad shipped.... Del. Nov 21.... Unreal ... You couldn't make this stuff up!

what would be awesome is if for everyone with a next-week delivery date, fedex showed up suddenly with our minis today. wouldn't that be great guys wouldn't it [scratches self nervously]
 
finally got a shipped notice after sitting on 'preparing for shipment' for an entire week. It is now in Shanghai with 21st as delivery date. Hopefully it gets here sooner, but happy that it shipped. ATT 64GB Black.

Just curious, does your tracking info have these times so far? If so, you've been on the same batch as everyone else with a AT&T 64GB black, some people just got their shipping notifications sooner for some reason:

Well one is on the truck for delivery. Still says Monday. But assume it will be today. Other one I ordered moved from preparing for shipment to shipped. Delivery date slipped from 21st to 26th.
 
Yeah apple really botched this one. I ordered on the 1st and it says delivers mid nov. then nov 7 I got an email saying it'll ship within 5 days (12th). It didn't ship till today (the 16th - missed promise) and apple says delivers on the 22 (missed promise) and yet FedEx who I trust better knows delivery dates, says delivery on the 26. Absolutely absurd. Apple has really screwed this one up. I hope this is not a sign of the new apple. If I could find one in store I'd just go pick up and return the one that got over promised and under delivered.

And you know that as fact how?? Since the Ipads were stolen at JFK, that means they were already shipped right? So the Ipads were already shipped and sold to someone right?

mine just got to local shangai fedex facility at 10p local time. It has not been released for shipment by customs yet. So I am behind by 24 hours exactly. Where yours shows 11/15 10p, i am there at 11/16 10p.

What I think he means is that if yours shipped and assigned a serial number and wasn't stolen, then it isn't going to redirected somewhere else.
 
My AT&T mini just delivered via FedEx but my tracking still shows in shanghai like others. Very strange... Happy to get it though

I got a tracking number this morning but all mine says is that there was an "origin scan". There's been no actual *shipment* activity yet. UPS shows the delivery date to be the 21st.

*gasp* the lord our god Federal Express does indeed work in mysterious ways, perhaps we will all get ours today instead of next week [continues to scratch self nervously] yes
