. Mine was scanned at 10p shangai last night, and I doubt it went through outgoing customs and incoming customs and made it down all the way to Texas, and sitting inside a van for delivery. But happy it shipped. Cant wait to swap over my unlimited data plan from my ipad 3 to this one and carry this baby everywhere.

JFK and the specific cargo holding company (Cargo Airport Services) is not in the Loop for shipments destined for Pre order fulfillment.
They are going from a FedEx location to a FedEx location.
These missing units were on their way to stores and carriers AND may or may NOT have been LTE devices.
As you may imagine the NYPD will have no further comment on an ongoing investigation.
ours are all fedex, as far as i can see. How many UPS shipments do we have here for LTE minis?
Despite a 12:03am launch day pre-order, my signature carries the sad saga of the Apple delivery/promise idiocy. Just went from 11/21 a few minutes ago back to 11/23. Ridiculous beyond belief.

Fantastic. You have given all of us hope. My FedEx tracking page is identical to yours so perhaps there's a chance, albeit small, that mine will be delivered today as well.
However, the fact that you live in Memphis probably gives you a big leg up on the rest of us.

My slate 64GB AT&T left Shanghai on the 16th at 5:33 pm. Due for delivery on Nov 21. I am not home, and will be quite annoyed if I miss it because of that...
What was yours saying that the delivery date was to be prior to it just magically appearing?

This launch is crazy bad.
So I finally got a "shipped" email in the middle of the night, but clicking on the "track item" yielded no info. I called FedEx to try to get a real answer on this package, to see if I was possibly going to get one of the "mine just showed up" scenarios. I was told that a label was created for shipping and that was it so far, that the item was still in China, and has not made it to the shipper...even though Apple's email to me says "shipped".
So, what was originally slated for 2 weeks to be delivered today(said Nov 16th all along), still sits in China. My email says shipped. To top it all off, the Apple rep on the phone last night told me "good news", your Ipad is in Pennslyvania and will be to you soon! Must be China-Pennslyvania...

I know - weird, huh. So far, I'm the only one that I've seen & my WiFi model can FedEx.
My 32gb AT&T white went from the 21st to the 26th, said it missed the cut off for FedEx to pick up...though it moved to shipped last night, the tracking finally refreshed today and went to 26th. Ordered day of. Joe Schmoe will be obtaining it before I will.
If my dumb a@# didn't engrave as a self-gift, I'd take my chances in store and then return it promptly when it arrived. I normally do just buy in store, but this time I thought I was being smart.
I planned to use it to test an app this weekend that a friend planned to launch soon. Though I know the specs should be the same as the iPad... it was all the more excuse to get my hands on one.
What about the return policies for stores?? I might get a 16gb wifi one and then return. I HATE being that way, but my moral compass is slowly pointing less in Apple's direction.

I have the same shipping information as you. I have a feeling they'll arrive by Tueaday at the latest based on the posts in this thread.
Not sure if Apple or FedEx is messing this up (or both) but this is becoming comical. You get told that your package is in Pennsylvania, HiWayFuzz opens his box (that says it is still in Shanghai by the way) and it is a wifi-only model...I mean, wow. Just wow.
And I have called both the Apple stores in town and they have every size/color option of Verizon but nothing for AT&T. The AT&T store told me they don't think they launch until Black Friday...

This is a good one. My AT&T 64GB Verizon, ordered 2 minutes after orders went live. Originally was the 21st. Got it expedited to the 16, slipped back to the 21st. Shipped late last night with UPS. Scheduled delivery is....wait for it...11/27. I'm in Northern California. Crazy!!

Despite my Debbie-downer attitude lately.....I have some good news.
Get this.....
After a long saga of phone calls, with promises/mis-information/mistakes made by Apple each time, I finally called a forth time to discuss things with a "supervisor" as my date slipped further to 11/23.
He was very apologetic (big deal), but then offered by the following as "compensation" for the hassle:
- Refund for a Dark Grey Smart Cover I had already paid for
- Additional free Red Smart Cover
- Set of new Apple "Earpods"
- 12 watt charger.
He basically gave me a $100 on-the-fly-shopping spree, and even when over that amount. Pretty dang cool.
Incidentally, if someone else with a 12:03am pre-order gets a 11/23 date and wants to call (although there was more to it than just a date slip)......the Apple guys are not allowed to add any compensatory "lightning" products (cables, adapters, etc).
