I currently use an 11” 2018 iPad Pro as my main computer. I am an artist who travels a lot. I would love an iPad mini with the flat edged design of the pros so that i could use my 2nd gen apple pencil with it. Then when i wanted to teavel really light, i could bring the mini Instead. Maybe upgrade my 11” to the 12.9” for home use.

The guy that you responded too just said he loved it and your reply to him is that he is wrong.

We all know Apple prefer to put energy on blockbuster hits and just does not care about making products that would make a lot of peoples happy (15 inch MacBook Air anyone?).
Thank you for understanding. I don’t question why people love their iPhone Minis or whatever Apple product that financially “fails.” But I understand when people do love gadgets that fit them~

Am hoping the size and weight of mini wouldn't increase because of all these changes! What makes me love it is the compact form factor. Frankly, I don't care if they retain the bezels and home button. Newer chip, Pencil 2 support and better speakers would be my ask (better cameras would be a bonus).

I actually LIKE big bezels on the mini. I can hold my mini in one hand without my fingers covering any of the screen. They also allow designing much more secure cases with more overlap on the corners, which are great for the mini humans that make up a large number of mini users.

I think iPads generally aren’t for me but I’d welcome an updated Mini as a consumption device - movies / books etc. and nice and light, smaller than the 10” one.

Please have quadruple speakers too for the iPad Mini 6! Current ones in Mini 5 are not loud enough to watch videos and movies!

Much as I would rather and be completely content with a continuation of the same iPad mini 4/5th Generation iPad mini design but with upgraded internals, I really don't think it makes ANY sense for them to move the iPad Air to the 2018-current iPad Pro design and for them to NOT do that with the iPad mini, assuming Apple's goal is to continue selling an iPad mini. Also, you don't go to such lengths to NOT put Face ID into this thing and to instead completely engineer, from the bottom up, an entirely new post-home-button Touch ID system only to JUST have it on one model of iPad. The only iPad I can see retaining the old body style for any serious length of time past this point is the standard iPad. But I'd imagine that, after the ninth generation, it too will make the jump. Typically Apple doesn't take THIS long to transition body styles on products.

if they don't lessen the bezels, than I probably won't upgrade my mini 5.... I really wanted the iPhone Pro Max to get pencil support, but as I am getting older I really am liking the bigger size of the mini...

I do also hope they do make the regular iPad thinner - it would probably sell better, especially since most tablets on the market are much thinner

Reading this on my iPad mini 5. I just really hope they don't make the physical device bigger. Also if the side bezels could be a little bigger so I have something to hold onto that would be great.

But mostly I just want the iPad mini line to continue. By far my favorite iPad size and I've tried them all.

I sure hope so. The mini is an absolutely underrated device. I love mine to death. It’s the perfect complement to my MacBook Pro.

An updated model with a bigger Liquid Retina display, Lock Button Touch ID, Pencil 2 support, stereo speakers, and an A14 would be my dream iPad.

And judging from the number of people who liked your post, seems like lots of people are in the same boat.

It is rumored to be 8.6", if I am not mistaken.

I worry that a 9” mini will no longer be a mini. It’s also a great eReader I. It’s current size.
