iPad Pro 10.5 Cases Thread

Dux plus for 10.5 is nice as it has the pencil holder- there is only one position to hold the ipad so if your used to adjusting the angle you wont like this case- I miss being able to adjust the angle

Hum, no back covers anyone is posting looks good. The only one I kind of like is the one posted by perene:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ilpage_o01_s00?tag=macrumors-20&ie=UTF8&psc=1

But the reviews note that it isn't lined and can damage the iPad. Any other back covers that aren't fugly and lined?
[doublepost=1504155477][/doublepost]The only one I found is so freaking expensive that I would rather not have a cover:

Anyone have this Snugg case for 10.5" iPad:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Snugg-Ultr...ncoding=UTF8&refRID=4W9BSTQBQ86J4WPVS2CG&th=1

I have ordered a 10.5 iPad for my wife which has not come yet, but the case has. Seems exactly what we wanted but some of the customer reviews say the lid does not wake/sleep. However the edge of the lid does have a magnet (paperclip test). Trying it with her old 9.7 Air it does not wake/sleep but maybe an unfair test.

Anyone know the truth?

Thanks.

Now received the 10.5 iPad Pro and sleep/wake works correctly, even though several reviews on Amazon say that it doesn't. I assume Snugg must have modified the product. The test I did laying a 9.7 iPad in the 10.5 case to test sleep wake is obviously invalid.

I also have a JETech and KHOMO cases which are nice but not as nice as the Snugg IMO. Sleep/wake works fine on these as well, but the test of laying the 9.7 in the 10.5 to test sleep wake also fails.

Mine was delivered using USPS, and:

Parcel Select Lightweight

Features:
USPS Tracking®

In the same order I bought another item from Amazon (for my computer) so both came together.

BTW, I contacted them about an alternate Smart Cover (cheaper than the one Apple sells), and this was their response:

*******
We do not sell the front case only.

We sell the back case (the one you bought) and also sell another case which is the back and front attached together (can not be separated), check it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JTYM6T

I have the STM Dux Plus and recommend it.

Pros:

Sturdy with excellent protection
Very good quality
Stops cats from destroying the IPad

Cons:

Not the lightest or slimmest case you can buy
Higher price - but you get what you paid for

Just got this case. Don't see the iPad breaking in it, that's for sure. Stand functionality isn't the best. Pricey at $59.99, but if you're looking for real drop protection this one is it.

It's not pretty. Wish that Apple would just create a back cover for the iPad.... My iPad Air leather Apple created back cover was perfect.

I really need to accept the back of my iPad isn't going to be covered except when in the apple slip case. Sigh

Perhaps you'll have to accept that Apple aren't going to produce such a case for the 10.5", and you'll have to compromise with one of the 50 or so 3rd-party cases instead?

I believe I read the pencil holder comes off of the Tech 21 case. How do I do that without damaging it? I started pulling it back but don't want to break anything. Should it come right off?
Yes, the pencil holder can be disengaged easily. You can't do that while the iPad is in the case as somehow the case design prevents or you may possibly scratch the side of the iPad or break the little plastic tabs of the Pencil holder.

Perform the disengagement while the case is empty without the iPad.

Anyone bought a fake version of the apple leather sleeve? Any links/opinions appreciated.
I just got mine today and I requested a return within 5 minutes. The material feels like... foam that's a little sturdy. The corners look janky and the edges are frayed. Even from a cursory glance I can tell that the apple logo on the back is crooked and not centered. All of that I could live with since it was only $10. HOWEVER, the power button cutout doesn't work and just keeps pressing down on the power button so it's stuck, you can't turn it on or turn it off with the case on and sometimes it throws the power off sliding page because it's pressed down all the time. DO NOT BUY.

Thanks, but was after opinions on the fake leather sleeve, not the fake leather smart case (of which I actually have a decent one)

Might help to give a link to the one you got, as there are a lot of third party "leather" cases some of which are good and some definitely not cheap either. I am very impressed with the Snugg I linked in post #1034 above.

It is a pity Apple don't make a leather case just like they do for the 9.7.

Not sure where you are in the world, but in the UK mine was delivered by Royal Mail. Didn't need a signature.

I have this case and thus far, I'm really liking it.

It's not the slimmest or prettiest looking, but it will surely protect your iPad from a significant drop. The stand function isn't the best, but I can stand it on my bed in movie mode position just fine and it's stable.

I like how the cover has a magnetic flap that securely keeps the cover in place. It also has the sleep/wake function. It isn't cheap at $60 bucks. If you have your iPad in a rougher environment or are prone to dropping it, this is a nice case to consider.

does it work like a folio case?
