How is the Khomo back cover (the one w/out pencil holder) holding up for those who have it? My plan is to buy that and pair it with the ASK.

You looking for drop protection or grip? Or something else? I don't need drop protection, and I find the Tech21 not comfortable to hold in tablet mode, especially in one hand.

Personally looking for something thats thinner to hold and provides grip. Currently considering the Vaja leather grip for 10.5, Tetded rear cover in leather, and also thinking about a simple dbrand skin which would practically provide the grip I'm looking for.
I'll check those out.

I guess I'm looking for scratch protection, I have a skin on, but since my mic stopped working, I'm wondering if the wet skin application process is risky.

I love the minimal feel with the skin, but worry about drop protection also, but as its 99% used at home, I'm hopeful drops will be a rareity.m

My I-blason “clear back/black bumper” turned up. Nice case, camera hole slightly misaligned, and I think scratches/lint on the clear back will do my head in. If they did it with a frosted back it would be great. Will be sticking to the ESR hard back as it’s thin and a perfect fit.

Eh... At least we start with one that I would not want. :D

I am not ordering my 10.5" until I decide on a decent case. I want a case with a pencil holder.

edit:
I ordered the 10.5" and a pencil and it will be here in a few days. Still not have decided on a decent temp case.
[doublepost=1502720794][/doublepost]The least they could do is bring back the iPad silicon case for the iPad 12.9 and make one of the 10.5. They had good grip quality yet flexible. I almost dropped my new iPad 10.5 right out of the box because of how thin and light it is. I don't want their stupid high priced sleeve.

I have this case however the case doesn't have as good grip and is hard plastic and makes it difficult to work with at times. I would prefer the old silicon case.

Hard plastic? It's supposed to be Leather.

Again, I would encourage anyone who tries the Khomo cases to take a good look at them before putting them on your iPad. The one I got that had the included Pencil holder was very poorly made--it had significant damage (scratches) on the sides and the cloth back looked like it was very hastily glued on. It also had what looked like dried strands of glue in the cutouts. I liked that the inside of it had a soft lining, but the parts around the edges didn't have the lining at all and it was just hard plastic--in some areas where there was no lining there were little jagged hard plastic edges, also by the cutouts. I don't think those imperfections would necessarily scratch the iPad up on the back--HOWEVER:

My Khomo case also had a lot of give on the back. It was bowed and you could kind of pop it in and out with not much effort at all. When you have that kind of play in the way the case fits, that means every time it happens, the case is going to rub against certain spots on the iPad casing. Over time, that CAN start causing scratches, especially if some debris gets caught in between the iPad and where the case can move around.

I get why people like the Khomo stuff--if you don't look at it too closely and just slap it on your iPad, it looks and feels like a pretty nice case. But I don't put any cheap case on my iPads or iPhones until I take a good look at them first, and this one just didn't cut it for me--not by a long shot.

Maybe were thinking about a different case but the one I got from the manufacture in your link has hard rubberized plastic in the plastic on the inside is very hard and It could possibly chip the edges of the iPad at the bevel

This case thing is so complicated! Life would be much easier if they made Smart Case like they did for the 9.7" version. I have really watch my iPad when I have it out with the Smart Cover. It also slide off of my seat and onto concrete while at a race track a few days ago. Luckily there was a towel there to catch it.

Any drawbacks to the case you bought on eBay? Good fit? Good magnets? Any chance of dirt getting under the iPad?

Thanks!

Mine barely has an area for the sleep/wake button at the top - it looks like it was supposed to be pushed out, but inside it is just a flat spot making the button pressed down at all times (constantly asking me to slide to power off). I asked if they were all like this and the seller just keeps saying he wants to give a partial refund. I just want an answer if they were all the same or not.

I've got the Khomo case with pencil holder and front cover. I don't have any of your problems and can't fault its build at all. In perfect condition and fits perfectly too. You should ask for a replacement.

I returned it and got the Tech21--it's such a nice case I don't think I could go back now.

Kavaj London case. Nice.

Pad & Quill lists their Oxford case as compatible with the ASK (which technically it is), but it is impossible to use the iPad without using the keyboard if it is attached. I think I may return my expensive new P&Q cover for a cheap Khomo back...

The Kavaj case looks really nice, but I have 2 questions:

1) Is it difficult to swipe up from the bottom or down from the top when in landscape mode? It appears that the case covers most, if not all of the bezel which I would think would make swiping difficult.

2) How sturdy is it when in stand mode? I use my iPad most of the time at my desk with a Bluetooth keyboard, so I keep it in stand mode most of the time. Is this sturdy enough to keep standing when you constantly are tapping at the screen, or will it collapse or fall over or rock back and forth?

I'll answer more fully later as I'm now off to work but I'd say 1: yes it does make swiping more difficult but 2; yes is sturdy.

For those members who have the Khomo back cover without the pencil holder for the iPad Pro 10.5, can you take some pictures of it maybe with the Apple smart keyboard if you have it. Thanks!

I hope that is not the case with the Khomo Back Cover without the Pencil Holder ?

I have ordered the one from Poetic. Along with my desire to show off the superb contours of my iPad Pro 10.5”, this clear case also provides a special slot to store the stylus effortlessly.
The Poetic one is great, but I hated that the back stuck to the Apple logo and made it look kind of janky. Also, the side with the Pencil holder slipped on and off pretty easily on my iPad. I ended up returning it. It will depend on how picky you are and if the one you get fits better than the one I got. I don't have much tolerance for loose fitting cases.

FINALLY got the new iPad Pro 10.5..but want to get a nice case for it..want to get one with a keyboard..the logitech one looks cool but have read some negative reviews about it..zagg has one with a keyboard but also mixed reviews..wish logitech would make that CREATE case but for the 10.5 inch..any suggestions?
