Hey, everyone so Will you upgrade to next year IPad Pro or no ?

If Apple can implement some new changes worth while, then yes. But I question what changes and it added features will be with my money to upgrade.

Coming from an iPad Air 2, I am definitely upgrading to iPad Pro 12.9, but i will wait for the iPad Pro 12.9 version 2....

Question is when will it launch???

I really want the iPad PRO but since the software support isn´t really there yet I see little point in buying the gen1.

Hoping the iPad PRO2 will be the device to replace my laptop needs once and for all, since I rather use a desktop for the heavier stuff anyway.

While I WAANT A NEW 12.9 pro... I can't justify the cost for three yr old technology. Now I understand the processor is new and faster, but the retina display is OLD... and probably the 3.5 jack will be removed.... I want 4K resolution... Why because that is where the market is... 4K TV's have been out long enough that even the CHEAP TV's are 4K...

Nothing will be new on the iPad... No Memory chip port... That would be new for APPLE. They are only interested in promoting iCloud...
No USB port... That would be "new" for apple....

Here is what they will offer for the BEST iPad built EVER...
No 3.5 headphone jack, True Tone screen, 25 % brighter, redesigned home button... UM , where did that happen this year (2016)...

BTW - I have an iPad 4 , 128gb with lightning port... Works GREAT... but I would like a new PRO...

I really want something cheaper than a pro 2. I want an IPad Air 3. I have no need for a pen. But if that's not coming, then probably yes. If the ram is at least 3 gb. If they remove the jack then I don't know what to do. I use that a lot on the iPad.

it would have to be a significant change (specs, performance, features, size) for me to consider upgrading.

for reference, i went from an ipad 3 (which i still use for background stuff) to pro 12.9. ipad 4, air 1 & 2 were never considered.

Unless there's something truly revolutionary, which is unlikely, I'll skip it. I've not encountered anything To limit me with my current 12.9" Pro. So I'll likely (try) to skip a couple of generations so that there's a bigger reason to upgrade.

If it has a better CPU, then it's a no
If it has true tone, then it's a no
If it has 3D Touch, then it's a no
If it has a far better selfie camera, then maybe

As mentioned above, it must have something truly revolutionary. However I don't believe it well, so it's a no

Well i guess 90% of this site's articles dont interest you then.

That's the problem when you're guessing... ;) Generally I find rumours interesting when there's a bit more meat to them then a product name. But please, go ahead and guess away.

Well your post was less open to interpetation and guessing.

I've had the 12.9" as well as the 9.7" (and now only have the 9.7" but not necessarily due to choice). I'll probably order a 12.9 IPP2 w/ Verizon Sim and be done w/ my laptop.

Honestly, the biggest drawbacks for me is a lack of mouse support in iOS, and a lack of keyboard integration in games. Solve these two issues and the IPP would become my primary computing device overnight.

Improvements I'd be looking for would be true-tone on the larger device, less weight, more base storage, force-touch, similar home button to the IP7.

Yup, because I have no indication or a single rumour what the specs might be. So before I ask myself if I buy a product when I know exactly zero about it I might wait until the first bits and pieces of useable information trickle through.
Might I buy it? Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on what it offers.

After 7 years of iPads, one just needs a little bit of imagination to see what is on the table for the next iPad pros. Its not that hard to predict and is fun thinking about. I guess you need "official rumors" for that.

Guess away then!

I already thought about and posted in this thread about it. Im hoping for 3D touch on the next iPad Pros. That would interest me. I also think a redesign in terms of a curved glass on the edges that started with the ip6 is on the table. The current chamfered edges are still the legacy of the iPhone 5 design.

I want to, but I think my iPad Air 2 still has a couple of years left before it starts to show its age. I've never been this satisfied with an iPad this old before.
