iPad Pro Pre-Order Thread (Official Release)

Every model except the one I want (white/silver LTE) is available for pickup at my local Apple Store. However, no pencil or smart keyboard here, or anywhere in the area. I'll wait and see if a third-party retailer has the whole thing in stock.

Let's say they've made reservations possible for business customers. They also don't sell today to regular folks. I find it notable that they apparently had plenty of Pencil stock but those were all reserved for the registered business people. Luckily, I have an existing relationship with the store even though I haven't bought my core business stuff at their place. Grabbed the last iPad Pro and Pencil. Great upsale tactic, Apple. :cool:

Couldn't be more excited, and I was seconds away from going to bed.

Woke up at 1:55am Cst time refreshed Apple page several times Nothing. Came back to this thread, and back on page 10 o everyone pretty much thought it was going to be a morning release. Just as I was about to shut down my laptop and go back to bed, I refreshed this thread one last time and BOOM! Post #241 by eric18 shows up with a link that it is on sale now! I go back to my apple ordering tab, refresh still shows nothing. I click on Eric18's link and was able to order it. So a shout out goes to him. I owe you big time!!!!

I ordered (for pickup in store today) 128gig wifi/LTE space grey
Pencil shows 19th delivery date
Went back iand decided to order Apple keyboard. Shows delivery around the 23rd.
Then I remembered the Logitech keyboard. Tried buyIng it on logitechs site and nothing.
Clicked on a link on this thread and was able to order it on apples site for a store pickup today.
Was going to take day off to pick order up early in hopes they might have pencil in stock, but then remembered I have an 8:00am meeting downtown. #%+&$!!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm mentally exhausted. Couldn't go back to bed all night. Lol.

I'm an early riser. Woke up an hour ago, made my coffee, checked the web site. I was very surprised to see that it will be available at my local store today. I spent another 45 minutes trying to decide if I wanted to order it and give them my credit card info, since I won't know if I really want it until I see it and heft it. Tried to do a chat, but nobody came on. Probably flooded wit chat requests. Finally went ahead and ordered it. There's a 14-day return policy, so if I don't like the looks, or the heft, I can "return" it before I take it.

The local store does not open for another 4 1/2 hours. So I have time to wake up completely, do my morning jogging, shower, eat some breakfast. The web site says it typically takes an hour after ordering before the "it's ready" email comes, but I don't know if that means an hour after the store opens or an hour after I placed my order.

We might be in the holiday purchase window, which would mean you have until the first week of January to return. Worth double checking on that in-store, as there's no info online.

Yes seem to be plenty of the tablets it is the smart case and pencil that is a bit short at least online. and for those of us with no nearby officlal Apple store well will have to wait. since have such long wait may see if any show up here at resellers in next few days...

I went to my local US Apple Store last week to buy a game controller for my AppleTV, and they told me that we were in the holiday return window and I had until early January to make sure that I liked the controller. Good news for Pro and Pro accessory purchasers.
 
Still have my BH order in, won't cancel until I have one in my hands. Never know what might happen. Anyways BH says its "on order" in my order status, I think Apple is going to have this well before any other retailer obviously.
 
Woke up this morning at 7:15am EST and ordered my 128GB Space Grey iPP. Says it will arrive Monday. I'm in Canada (southern Ontario). Hoping for early delivery since I'm going away Sun-Thurs but I'm not optimistic. I probably wouldn't take it with me anyway.

I wonder if it will fit in an average hotel room safe? Never thought about that before. My iPad 3 in a case always fit but I'm not sure the iPP will fit. Might measure the safe in the hotel room when I'm away.
 
Just received my "We're Ready for You" message from my local Apple Store to come get my Pro!

HAHA!! Great minds think alike! I'd love to save the tax as well, but the siren song of the iPP was too much for me to resist...I've got one for pickup today at the Brea Mall Apple Store.

But...I'm not cancelling the B&H order just yet! I'll wait until I get the "ready for pickup" email from Apple :D
 
AT&T fell apart last night - if you are a premier customer they threw you over to the crappy premier site which didn't have the ipad Pro for sale... it was a mess.. it wasn't until 3:40 it showed up on premier. Another scenario of poor coordination, communication and roll out.. Apple has to get a handle on this.

So I ended up ordering from BH, Apple in store pickup, Apple online, and AT&T... and lets see who wins the race to delivery... I have zero guilt for giving them 3 returns.
 
Just got were ready for you email for pickup, interestingly store doesn't open for about two hours!
