So I placed my preorder for a 128/LTE/SG, and it's due for delivery on 11/16 -- I wonder if I should stop by the Apple Store as it opens today to see if they have any in stock? I would've ordered for store pickup if I had known they might be in stores today.
Do another order for in store pickup and then cancel the previous one you made.

apple store that i picked up my pro didnt have either. i checked verizon and att. neither had them. also target, best buy and on the off chance walmart. no one has it. really bummed on the pencil as that was the selling point in my opinion. i would of thought they would of had tons of them.
I'm out to pick up my iPad, will see what they tell me about the pencil...

Waiting until the 20..30th:(

I am not going to order the iPad Pro yet. Will try the iPad Pro at the store tomorrow along with the pencil. If I like it then will buy the iPad Pro 128gb LTE.

For now I have an iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 6s plus.

If I get the iPad Pro, I will trade in my iPad Mini.

I am just not sure how I will carry the huge iPad Pro around with me. May not be convenient and I may end up using it at home only.

I will keep it at home most of the times to read books, magazines, drawing and it will be my portable when traveling, not for day to day use outside the home.

I'm on the east coast, in Philadelphia. I preordered mine at 4am (like a dweeb), and went in to to the store to pick it up. eekcat, and anyone else, you can find if there are some in a store near you by going to the "Buy" page for the Pro:

http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-ipad/ipad-pro/128gb-gold-wifi-cellular

Configuring it to the one you want, then clicking "See more stores." Most stores in my area still have them stocked.

I also called every store within a 45minute drive, and none of them had Pencils. I preordered mine in the early AM, before the dates got pushed back so far, and it's set to be delivered in a little over a week.

I'll probably call some stores between now and then to see if they get any stock.

My quick review:

- Speakers are great. Can't wait to watch Netflix on it.
- Way faster than my iPad Mini 2, which got annoying
- Holding a tablet of this size is just silly. I want to prop it up, but I don't have any accessories for doing that yet!

I'm thinking I'll like it more for doing productive tasks, like learning math and physics or illustrating, but I don't plan to use it as much for general consumption while lounging around, just because it's such a pain to hold.

I cancelled the order for the iPad Pro since I'm picking one up in store today. However I kept the order at B&H for the Apple Pencil and its order status says "On Order"

I just did as well, after I got the "We're Ready for You" email from Apple. I ordered the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard. We'll see when they ship! :)

ETA: I've got the pencil and SK ordered at both Apple and B&H...it'll be interesting to see who ships first!

Understand.

Do you currently have an iPad which you will be replacing?

Do you think it is worth the money or upgrade?

That is my greatest worry.

It will be silly to carry/ hold the iPad Pro. Way too big.

Normally I go out and buy any new Apple products but this one I have to try out at the store.

Why would one want to use the iPad Pro to watch Netflix at home when you can watch it on the big screen TV?

That's a good idea, I think. I bought it to replace my Mini, thinking it would do everything the Mini does and more. But now that I've used it for a bit, I can see why one might keep a Mini and a Pro.

If I keep the Pro, I'll definitely be selling the Mini just to get some of my cash back. But the Pro is definitely lacking portability, which is one of the main reasons I'm such a fan of tablets.

Ah well, win some ya lose some. It'll be a fun experiment for a year. Maybe I'll get an Air 3 if they add Pencil support :)

I went with the free delivery and just got notice that it shipped!
It was originally due to arrive on Monday but now it says TOMORROW!
YIPEEEEE!
And I didn't pay for the expedited...just the free.
How Awesome is that!?

I had an iPad 2 for my wife mostly, the glass was shattered and no more iPad at home since then.

We managed with our iPhones, I currently have the 6+.

Just recently I realized that through my local Library I can get plenty of magazines and ebooks and to be able to read them in a full size display like the iPad Pro both pages at the same time, like the physical paper experience, I was sold.

The icing on the cake is to be able to draw with the pencil.

The 4 speakers to watch a video, or listening to Music while the kids are playing out in the backyard are a nice plus.

It's pricey but as I have a zero interest offer from the Barclay Credit card.

I'm not planning on any productivity with it, but just check my emails and pay the bills.

There may be other with better use cases to justify the expense.

My order for the Pencil says
Available to ship: 5-7 business days
Delivers: Nov 19 - Nov 23

If I'm a betting man, I bet it ships sooner. (Fingers crossed)

Honestly speaking the selling point for the iPad Pro is the pencil.

I will try it out at the store. If I like and find that I can make good use of the pencil then I will buy it right away.

If I am only be using the iPad Pro at home and don't use the pencil then it will be useless for me.

It is easy to go and buy a new product on launch day.

Those who are getting the iPad Pro, will you also get Apple Care Plus?

What if you drop the oversized iPad Pro and shatter the screen?

I always get AppleCare, so yeah, I got it. Apple has outright replaced 4 or 5 of my devices for no cost (not even the $50 service fee) in 3 years. In fact, I've never paid the $50 service fee, but I've also never dropped a screen or whatever. Anyway, it's definitely paid for itself many times over.

For instance, earlier this year my Mini's screen lock toggle started acting funky. Just touching it was enough to make it go back and forth between locked and unlocked a bunch of time. I took it to the Apple Store about 3 weeks ago. The guy touched the switch, saw that what I said was true, and in (no exaggeration here) 2 minutes I was walking out of the store with a brand new iPad Mini 2. It was crazy!

How did you cancel and how long did it take for money to process back through??

Purchased Apple care plus myself, I'm concerned about the screen and oversized nature of it. I feel like I could drop it and it is a higher $$ item I think it's a small price to pay for price of mind.
