I know! I told myself I was going to wait this time and save on tax due to the higher $$. Then they became available today and out the window goes my $ to sales tax, oh well it's the price we pay I suppose!
 
Interestingly the pencil won't even let you look at in store availability now, only delivery.
 
What do people think at this point, is the Pencil in stores when we get there or is it really that constrained and now we can't even check store availability online ?

I noticed that as well...I had added the keyboard cover and pencil to my order, but took them out when it showed "2-3 weeks" (didn't want to jinx the deal :)). The smart cover was in-stock so I kept that. I'll place a separate order for the pencil and keyboard cover...or just ask for them as a holiday gifts :D
 
quick question, I would like to setup as new so I don't get it cluttered with apps from my iPhone. I know all the cloud stuff syncs back up, but if I install an app from iTunes that I already have, will it move over the settings and all the data from the app on my iPhone or am i SOL and have to enter or get the data back somehow? I know restoring from a backup would do that but I don't want to restore from a backup.
 
My main question is will the pencil work when a glass cover is installed. I never take chances of screen scratches or cracks so a cover is absolutely needed, (especially for this big of a device.) I plan to pick up a Zagg cover today and hopefully they'll have the Pencil at The Apple Store... and they'll work perfect together... Hopefully.

Anyone pick their order up in store yet? Any pencils in store?? I have notification I can pick up but I can't make it for a few hours.

Just left south hills Pittsburgh store. Got my iPad but my keyboard and Apple pencil were not yet stocked...waiting on the pickup email for that, still no word .

Neither of them in stock for walk ins as you can imagine!
 
Just a heads up mine was supposed to be delivered Monday I just got the shipment notification that it has shipped and it will be delivered on Friday yay

Looks like pencil will be brutal to find, Apple manager called me to say glitch in system and no pencils arrived today, but she expects some in a few weeks.

apple store that i picked up my pro didnt have either. i checked verizon and att. neither had them. also target, best buy and on the off chance walmart. no one has it. really bummed on the pencil as that was the selling point in my opinion. i would of thought they would of had tons of them.
 
So I placed my preorder for a 128/LTE/SG, and it's due for delivery on 11/16 -- I wonder if I should stop by the Apple Store as it opens today to see if they have any in stock? I would've ordered for store pickup if I had known they might be in stores today.

I would expect glitches to be resolved in days and not weeks. Perhaps Apple was so excited about making the iPad Pro's they totally forgot about the Pencil.
 
I got my email "We're ready for you." But the store doesn't open for another hour and a quarter. However, I know that sometimes they open an hour early on the day there's a new product release. I'd phone and ask, but there's no hurry, and I'm not ready to leave yet anyway. I just got out of the shower after jogging and I'm still hot. I'll leave after I've cooled down. I'll get there when the store normally opens, and if it was open earlier, no problem. Mine's on hold.

I'm glad I didn't want the pencil or keyboard. That would suck, to have the tablet but not have the accessories you want.
