iPad Pro Pre-Order Thread (Official Release)

Ok, I just confirmed with Apple online chat. 'Holiday Return Policy' is currently in effect. Full refund as long as you initiate return by Jan 8th. Which means you can use the iPad Pro until well into late January as long as you print out the return courier label by Jan 8th. Then you can probably continue using it for another week or so before you have to ship it. Most probably if you're still using it by then you're keeping it.

Thats great news. Thanks for clearing that up. Although I was planning on returning to get the 128GB + Cellular. I can possibly wait a bit longer.

So, if this is really the "pre-order" or "order" thread... where are all the shipping updates?

I ordered a iPP SG 128 LTE from Apple.com at 8:41am PST on Nov 11th. Order still says processing items: available to ship 5-7 business days.

Anyone else order that day and receive their iPP or at least have the status change to preparing for shipment?
 
On the subject of returns, the more I use it the less likely I think it is that I'll be returning it. Just subscribed to a magazine (through the mag's own app, not Apple's Newsstand app) and being able to read it in what is essentially the same size as the print version is really nice. Magazines on the iPad Air are just not as easy to read. I might have already mentioned that the Pinball Collection HD app feels so much nicer on the Pro than it does on the Air. And streaming video as well, is finally large enough to feel comfortable.

Same here I ordered a few hours before you, 128 GB LTE, still processing with 5-7 business days.

I really thought we would see some movement by now.

My Delivery dates just slipped by 4 days on my apple.com order confirmation page... ugh. Anyone else???
 
The iPad Pro has been listed as "Ships to (local Apple Store)", which means they are probably out still. If I order one and have it shipped to my Apple Store, do you think it would arrive pretty quickly compared to having it shipped to my house? Or would it not matter? My Apple Store is like 10 minutes down the road from me.

I ordered on 11/11 and got my shipment notice and tracking number last night. It is due to be delivered to me on Thursday.
 
My order shipped on 11/13. Delivery was scheduled for 11/19, but I'm not so sure now.

It left Shenzhen on 11/13, then went to Hong Kong, Dubai and then Koeln, Germany (where it's been sitting since Sunday). It's an odd route since I live in the US.

UPS' website now says "Delivery status unavailable. Check back later".

How weird! Mine went from Shenzen to Hong Kong, then Anchorage, AK. It is supposed to get to me in Los Angeles on 11/19.
 
This same type of nonsense happened to me when I ordered the Apple TV. I don't know what has happened to this company in terms of ordering from their online store -- missing packages, re-deliveries. Mine was supposed to arrive on 11/18, then delays -- see below.

My iPad Pro was in Louisville, KY on Friday... sat there all weekend and yesterday... now UPS says it's back in Hong Kong.

At least yours hit US soil, mine never crossed the Pacific.

Did they give you a reason as to why there was an issue?
 
Mine still says Processing, 5 - 7 days, delivers Nov. 23 - Nov. 25.

Well, today is a week since ordering, and 5 business days, so....
 
Mine just departed from Hong Kong -- I very much doubt that is the case. This is the third time it has "departed". What is going on with Apple lately -- I and others had issues with the Apple TV deliveries. And now, this.
 
I went to store to buy iPad Pro but found out it doesn't have 3D touch lol, I will now wait till next year, seems so stupid they didn't include it and after having the 6S+ and Watch I don't think I could a device without 3D touch, I have an iPad air and its so weird not having 3D touch cause I use loads.

Gutted though.
