Mine arrived with flaws in there metal back. I used the $20 discount. If I order again with discount, will they hold the order thinking I'm trying to get two with the discount? And I should be able to transfer T-Mobile plan to the new one when I finally get it?

What sort of flaws? Mine had a few hairline marks at the bottom left of the shiny Apple logo on the back, but as everything else seems to fine, I think I would be a bit OCD to return it for that.

It has a pencil eraser size scuff on the middle back and then is the upper back case, there is a 2.5 inch long scuff. You can see them in any lighting. I just couldn't keep it knowing how much I paid and to always see these. And I always inspect stuff as I'm peeling plastic off (really spoils it in a way) so they were definitely there from the manufacturing.

That seems odd to me, that's not really an extended return policy in my book.

It's sort of a grey area. If you regularly buy a lot of stuff from Apple, it's as good as cash. If you aren't going to buy anything else from them, then it's only worth what you can get for it on eBay. But the logic makes sense: The holiday return period is so recipients can exchange unwanted gifts, but no store takes gifts back for cash. They take them back for different merchandise.

The store employees should definitely be clear on the return policy, and by not making it clear they are leaving themselves open to serious criticism, because even though the policy is logical, there's a big difference between "you can return it" and "you can exchange it for other merchandise."

Either that, or someone had it out and played with it for a bit. I think you're justified in returning it.

Why is my order still saying 5-7 days, delivery Nov. 23. They are in stock in stores everywhere.

Went back and fort on getting an iPad Pro. Finally ordered one on Thursday for delivery around Thanksgiving then found a Space Grey 128GB WiFi at a local Apple store and the wife generously rushed by and picked it up. Needless to say canceled the one on order and now awaiting delivery of the keyboard an pencil order around December 22nd.

Wow called my local Apple Store they got 10 pencils in today, hauled over there and snagged one. Didn't want to be greedy and buy all 10 :)

In Post 603 I stated, based on someone else's post earlier, that if you return your tablet after the normal 14-day trial period, but before January 8, the extended return date, you would get a gift card instead of a refund of your money.

Today I was at the Apple store in Spokane, and two Apple salespeople told me categorically that this is not the case. They said that you can return it for a refund any time during the extended holiday return period. To be sure, you cannot get cash money, because it's such a large amount. But if you paid with a credit or debit card you can get the charge reversed and refunded to the card, otherwise you have the option of getting a check in the mail. You can get a gift card if that's your preference.

This is what I was told by the store employees.

The store, BTW, has keyboards on display, but none for sale yet.

This sounds right to me, I think the other person was unfortunately given wrong info by an employee which seems to be happening more often lately. This is the way every other store handles holiday return periods. It's the normal policy just EXTENDED.

Just went to my local Apple Store in hopes of picking up a 128GB model in Space Grey. The only one they had was in silver across all models. Kinda bummed, gonna have to wait it out. I wish Best Buy had them so I could get the rewards points.

You and me both. I ordered the iPad Pro on 11/11 but still am stuck in processing with delivery 11/23-11/25. My pencil is supposed to be 12/22-12/24.

I went to Apple store and they Clarified this. Yes, the return date has been extended from 14 days to January 8th but after the 14 day period, you can't get cash or return back to your credit card. It will be processed as an Apple Gift Card.

So Please keep this in mind.

This is false. The holiday return period extends all returns for full refund upto Jan 8th. You will be refunded the same way you payed.

Do you have that in writing because no where do I see that on the site nor did I get a person to confirm it. I can call them.

The 'Holiday Return Period' policy hasn't been placed on the website yet; I'm not sure if it will be. However, I vaguely remember that this is how it was last year as well. It's not the only retailer that institutes this policy. Also on my iPad Pro order status page if I hit the return button it says 'eligible for return till Jan 8th 2016'. Note 'return' is not the same as 'exchange for credit'. They would be subject to lawsuits if that's what it meant. I would call your store and ask for the manger not just anyone if you want confirmation on this. At least in Canada & US that is the policy. I'm not sure what it is outside of North America.

Ok, I just confirmed with Apple online chat. 'Holiday Return Policy' is currently in effect. Full refund as long as you initiate return by Jan 8th. Which means you can use the iPad Pro until well into late January as long as you print out the return courier label by Jan 8th. Then you can probably continue using it for another week or so before you have to ship it. Most probably if you're still using it by then you're keeping it.

What???? Where did you spot so many of this rare beast? :p

The stores tell you to keep checking online status because it's supposed to tell u if in store pickup is available, they had 10 pencils and the online never said they were in stock. So the online can not be trusted if u want an Apple pencil call the store every morning

Also as a small review the apple pencil has zero latency, it's like true writing, there are app specific problems though some apps the pencil has notice or lag, the best app hands down so far is procreate
