I've done a google on this a come up empty so I'm hoping to get some guidance here.

I know that you can use iPad Pro as a secondary "monitor" for Macbooks but is it possible for it to work the opposite way?

I'm looking to have the screen on my work MBP for working on personal files during down time (boss is okay with this; I have checked). The work MBP is also connected to a ViewSonic external monitor if that makes any difference or will cause any issues.

If this is possible how difficult would it be to jump back and forth between my work machine and the iPad Pro machine.

Thanks in advance for your insight!

If you just mean screen mirroring then you can fire up Quicktime player on the Mac and it will display the iPad screen.

You can type to the iPad from your mac with the application 'Typeeto".

The holy grail would be trackpad control but I don't believe that is possible.
