You're willing to compromise and nothing wrong with that.
Compromise isn't the vision of Apple. Perfection is. Apple created the best TABLET device while M$ created the worst tablet and mediocre laptop called Surface. There are compromises in all areas which makes the Surface clearly an inferior product. Coupled with Windoze, you get the worst of the worst.

Again. I'm getting really tired of this laziness. HOW?! How am I - or any Surface user - ever compromised in any way?

Oh and I'm sorry.. I've been at Apple for far too long to know that isn't the case. Perfection is not Apple. Never has been, Never will be.

I am not however using a benchmark test as my one and only argument.
.

Yes, you can't. Because Surface benchmarks suck compared to an iPad. All the rest proves that you don't understand computing at all. Playing Steam games on surface with its intel onboard card? Working on Photoshop while you are in the train? Running all day with S D card? Thats a comedy, not a computing.

Yes, we know that Windows is a most perfect OS in the world.
Until the DLL error

Heh, I'm enjoying this more than I should. Yes I know nothing about computing at all. Obviously.

You know how I know about working on Photoshop on a train, plane or tube? Because I do it. Every single day.
Can I play steam games on my Surface. Sure. Not at top spec for all of them and the fan gets a bit loud if it's a heavy game. But I can do it. Best of all. That steam game I play on my surface when I'm travelling is also on my game rig when I get home.

And what is running all day with an SD card? I use it as an expansion to my hard drive. I'm not running an OS off the card!

Who said it was perfect? I just said I've not had any issues at all. I can't upgrade my iPad Mini to iOS 9 as, a. I don't have the space for it and b. it will run like *****! This is an issue.

Allow me to troll you hard back.

iPad Pro benchmarks suck compared to Surface or XBox One because it can't do hardcore gaming.

Who says people do Photoshop in a train is a loser? Do you finger paint on your iPad like a child?

Good luck upgrading and blowing off your money with a topped out iPhone or iPad that you CANNOT expand on with an SD card " off the grid " where there is no wifi or carrier signal. This is where Apple rips you off with a unibody design that locks you out of memory expansion.

Elegant design, my a$$.

That's where SD cards come in handy.

If you didn't know there are already two Photoshop versions for IOS.

Those Photoshop apps are not like the real Photoshop at all. They are closer to Instagram filters than an actual program. The same apps run on an iPod Touch too.

I truly believe that Adobe could legitimately develop full featured apps for the iPad Pro, but no one is setting the example. Apple should have launched with Final Cut Pro and Logic... Heck, they should have brought Aperture back from the dead on the iPad Pro. Draw a line in the sand and show that iOS can have Pro apps by including their own Pro app brands.

I don't think the iPad Pro is meant to come close to the other iPads in sales... Apple certainly doesn't need that for the device to be a success on paper. The issue is going to be developers wasting resources on that niche market when iOS has so many more users that DON'T have 4GB RAM, A9X, etc.

So Adobe rolls out their brand new iPad Pro apps, that just so happen to work on all devices down to an iPod touch. This has kind of always been an issue with iOS. There are just so many potential customers on last year's devices and older.

Oh and StoneJack.

Please provide those examples of where a touch based game that I could also play on my Surface, beats a desktop game that you CANNOT play on an iOS device.
Also, not to mention all the emulators and stuff I could potentially run that Apple would never allow on the AppStore.

Be quick. I'm off to the pub soon and in some comedy computing I'll be coding a game in visual studio on the way. Red clown shoes and all.

Yes, I bet you play your steam game on surface with 10 fps. Well, Windows is molasses anyway, so no difference.
Its sucks on work on Surface on photoshop on train. Seriously, man, get a normal desktop and chair. I worked on Photoshop too, you know, and I am sure that whatever you manage do on Windows on surface on train, really sucks. Just as surface sucks as a tablet.

Well, its too bad you have to use slow S D card for your files. Well, Windows is molasses anyway. I bet you use Windows utility for faster copy. Because it cant copy files fast, you know. But it doesn't matter. Because you can stand in evening train trying to finish your slow Windows work on slow S D card in slow Surface with slow Intel. Just look at benchmarks. And then enjoy steam 10fps game on Surface. Seriously, its even not funny.

You've never bought a Jot product have you...
He is a graphics DTP expert working on Windows surface (yes, right). He doesn't have anything better than Surface wacom pen in the world. Well, at least in Windows world.

Example of Windows surface art:

Are you a stand-up comedian? Because this is gold!

I TRAVEL A LOT! ALL THE TIME! I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before. Maybe more than once.

I spend half my life in Cupertino and the other half in Europe. I needed that elegant solution to working whilst travelling. Apple thought it well below them to provide that solution. MS did and did it very well.

Photoshop works perfectly on the Surface. I was worried when I bought the device. Very worried but I gave it a go. My Wacom and Air haven’t been touched in over a year. The Surface was that good.

Thank for assuming my work sucks though ;) Nice to have a confidence boost now and again.

And I don’t use a slow SSD card for my files. It’s an expansion - scratch disk for Photoshop.

Guess which is OneNote and which is Sketchbook
This hasn't been quoted yet? But this more than shows that software development can really help out the way the hardware functions. Not to say that the apple pencil doesn't deserve its praise, but people saying that the surface pro stylus can't have smooth curves need to see how it runs in other applications.

Yes, the pen that lags like molasses and doesn't have tilt sensors? I think probably whatever you draw in that Surface, doesn't require good stylus.

Oh yeah! Cause you know. In the 20 years I've been doing this I never once found ways to work around that issue of not having tilt sensors and Photoshop has never had custom brushes to deal with that. Also the lag - what little there is I have noticed it less and less over the year. Maybe I'm just used to it.

I think maybe your argument ran out about 6 pages ago. Maybe on the first post you did.

And you are an artist using Photoshop on Surface. Its funnier than a circus clown.

Oh trust me. I'm not the only one. You know what is interesting. An Artist can use almost anything to make great art.
It's usually more about the talent than the device.

Oh and I am by no means a great artist. But if I can provide a WIP to counter your attachments. This is what I'm currently working on, on the Surface alone using Photoshop and the crappy Pen.

This. I've seen some incredible work done on an iPad with one of those janky, thick tipped capacitance pens. If you know what you're doing, you can do it with whatever you have on hand.

Though an SP4 does a much better job of it, since the near exact tracking and pressure sensitivity makes for a much better experience. The iPad Pro's stylus is slightly faster and the tilt features are great, but the differences in quality between it and the SP4 stylus are pretty thin overall.

Well, if anything this proves that Photoshop on Windows on Surface on train isn't great at all. Hope that there were no BSOD and DLL errors.

what an ignorant, self righteous and completely factless statement... just about sums everyhthing you've posted in this thread.;

You are no Bill Hicks. At least not yet. ;)

Keep working on those examples of iOS games and all the arguments for iOS that you've failed to deliver at every opportunity.

I never got that fixation on Photoshop - Photoshop sucks. It is the worst image editor I ever had to use. There are so many better tools out there - so why do all cry for Photoshop?

Painter, Affinity Designer/Photo, ClipStudioPaint, Procreate - All way better artist tools then Photoshop...

Industry standard in the office. Had to use it for years.
Not really an excuse. Just the way it's is.

I use Photoshop for... Photo editing. Do the bulk in Lightroom and then touch ups in Photoshop, plus conversion to CMYK for press.

That's why the lack of tilt doesn't bother me on my SP4 pen. No need for tilt when I am mostly spot healing crumbs and fibers/hairs out of food photography.

But hey! Of those programs you mentioned, which do you think is the best? I noticed that at least 2 combine vector and raster graphics into the same artwork... This is VERY interesting to me, as I am giving my last Surface to my friend who is extremely good with inking. We need to make a movie poster for our next film and I want it to look clean line-wise, but not overly digital as vector-only art can look. Too much art looks either too vectory (Illustrator) or too airbrushy (Photoshop).
