I see your point, but how is that relevant what Apple said the iPad is it’s own entity now, it really can’t be compared to the iPhone because it doesn’t have A USB-C charging port. And iPhone still cant get standard USB-C.
As opposed the non-Apple Macs, and non-machine Macs.Apple's Mac machines
Oh those were the days... hunting for the Sony F-707 camera. Best job ever ❤️I’m almost 99% positive the release date is April 1st. Not a joke.
A couple placeholder products from Apple had a street date of 4/1 in the inventory system of a major chain
I’ve had the same thoughts. Has to be pretty darn close...I've often wondered if the M1 and the A14X are essentially the same chip just with different names, and if the iPad Pro gets Thunderbolt that would imply the two might in fact be identical (or at most the A14X might just be a lower clocked version of the M1).
Don't look at it that way. Only one decision that matters => Do you much prefer iPadOS or macOS? Once you know that answer then which device to go with is an easy answer. This new 12.9 iPad Pro would make for a difficult decision between it and a newly redesigned 14” M1/M2 MacBook Pro.
I’m not sure which would be more expensive.
Thunderbolt support points to macOS coming to the iPad Pro or a very big upgrade to iPadOS 15.Presently, support for external display in iPadOS was kinda limited (black stripes).
So is this rumour somehow implying that the limited support was only due because of the nature of the port (USB instead of TB3)?
Unfortunately [or fortunate whichever way you look at it] neither device replaces the other, and they are designed to work together.Don't look at it that way. Only one decision that matters => Do you much prefer iPadOS or macOS? Once you know that answer then which device to go with is an easy answer.
Full screen I hope. No aspect ratio black bars on the left and right please!I can retire my iMac if the new iPad Pro can drive a 27" Thunderbolt display. A new affordable Apple display announcement would be cherry on top.
Me too - that is the iPad Pro holy grail. Give it an M1, 8GB RAM and let me bootcamp to Big Sur when I want. Will it duel boot Mac OS? If so instant buy for me
