Last Sunday I was able to go to the Apple Store at Arrowhead Mall (Peoria, AZ) and they had all models in stock. Also the local BB had a sign out front saying iPads in stock...

I think as part of the event Wednesday we will see a) iPad shipping worldwide (at least WiFi version) b) Beta of iOS 4.1 for iPad released to Developers

next a reduction in the shipping times for iPhones, inshallah

Do you have to insert your Muslim propaganda in every post?

Let me chime in: Muslim propaganda? That's just Arabic for "God willing".

Agreed, MC. @Sirozha: stradale33 has posted twice on MacRumors, and used the word "inshallah" once. So where's this "Muslim propaganda in every post" coming from?

The lack of RAM is really starting to annoy me now. Can't switch tabs in Safari without the pages being refreshed. So. Irritating.

They're shipping so many of these, don't they want to give a thought to upping the spec a bit? A Rev B of sorts?

Multitasking is going to suck. :/ They're making it harder for themselves in the long run, and for us too.

That's great, i can't wait to not buy an overpriced incredibly gimped ipod touch.

Not really, they will release a new ifad with more memory and sell millions to the millions that just bought an ifad.

You just need to hack the software switch that enables the 128 GB of on die RAM. It is a feature that is being reserved for iPad IOS 4.0 but all you need to do is poke a value to an address and it turns on.

I wonder if demand is slowing quicker than Apple anticipated.

I imagine that a lot of people are stalling for Wednesday. If there was a sudden freeze over a couple weeks in anticipation of an Apple event, it would help Apple catch up.

Who knows what's coming, but it'd be silly to buy an iPad this week. I know that by the end of the week, I'll have a new Apple product: iPod touch, iPad, iPhone or something else????

Why are they not due to a decline in sales? Where is the proof in your argument?

I neither said nor implied there hasn't been a decline in sales or demand. What I'm saying is the statement "everyone who wants one already has one," which another commenter correctly pointed out is the same cynical statement often made by the naysayers regarding every new Apple product that comes down the pike, is most certainly bogus.

Why aren't you using one of the other browsers out there then if you don't like that?

Atomic Browser is even free:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/atomic-web-browser-lite/id355513788?mt=8

OR you can go with the small charge for Perfect Web Browser if you prefer that one instead:

So the excitement is finally wearing down. Congrats Apple.

More like people are focused on end of summer and getting the kids back to school etc.etc. An iPad will make a great Christmas gift and I suspect that a lot of people are holding off for that as well. Course by then, they might be hard to find again! LOL

You missed the subtle humor. Joke from Flyover Land.

By the way, what sort of state groupings are these?

It groups Wisconsin with Illinois so it's obviously not driving skill, and it groups Wisconsin with Idaho, and therefore not potato quality. Any other ideas?

Yes it was a generalisation but there's merit in the argument that iPad sales may be declining as Apple runs out of early adopters. That's not naysaying, it's just a simple observation. You fanboys are a defensive little bunch.

It seems that sirozha's bigotry has been brushed under the carpet by MR.

Good news. I own a 64GB wifi only model and love it. I just hate the bezzel and I know its like that because of the grip line, but please, you have a ton of wasted space.

I can't imagine holding this without the large bezel, i'd constantly be catching the active touch area. Not only does it serve as a beautiful frame when i've got this thing on the side as a digital photo frame, but I think it's a practical and integral aspect to the iPad design.

They are the same ones who are now saying iPads are available because demand has dried up. They never go away, they just change their tune. When the iPad was hard to get the mantra was that Apple was creating an artificial shortage in order to spur sales because the iPad was no good. Now that the iPad is readily available the mantra is that demand has tanked. Either way they still get to claim that the iPad is an "epic fail." When actual sales figures are released when the quarter ends the same critics will then pontificate about how they expected sales to be much higher and, again, make the "epic fail" argument. I'm actually surprised they aren't already arguing that the Dell Streak is killing the iPad. As other tablets become available the "epic fail" talking points will accelerate.

You can't reason with these types as they can always put negative spin on anything regarding Apple.

here here!

The usual faces criticise, tell us a product is doomed to failure. The product is a success and they move on to criticising something else. not sure why they're on an Apple forum if all they want to do is talk c**p. Are these people so bored with their lives that they need to criticise products they neither own, have real world experience of or intend to purchase?

As BA Barracus would say "crazy fools"...

Quite agreed. If someone says "Please God" or "God willing" is this Christian propaganda? There's no room for bigotry in this world - idiots please move along.

Trust me, there is no danger of me getting an iPad anytime soon. It will take a few generations and at least matte screen or e-ink.

Guess you'll never own one then. Shame, it's an amazing device. People don't want e-ink or matte screens, it's why iPad outsells the kindle and why this device has sold more units in it's short life than any other tablet device in history.

Most people who complain about gloss screens on iMacs simply don't own one and have it for every day use. The gloss/glare is a non-issue.

I want a matte screen for reading, which is why I have owned 4 Kindles. And there are lots like me. Ereaders are a good sized niche market. Niche because they arent netbooks and do one purpose, but do it exceedingly well.

I am still working my little white intel iMac because I dont care for the glossy screens on the newer ones. The whole design just doesnt move me. And I have 3 of the newer aluminum bodied Macbooks, didnt care for their screen either.

I am no inexperienced or ill informed, but just have different likes/wants than you. You need to step back and stop speaking for everyone in your broad statements.

This version of the ipad is already outdated. In a few months apple is going to release one with dual cameras for face time action. It would be dumb of apple not to do so. If my guess is right we should have camera's on Ipod touches tomorrow making the purchase of this gen ipad a waste of money.

Because we all know that iPads are the same size as touches right? I'd never type this message out on the small screen of a touch. But this can and is being

Sent from my iPad. :D

I ordered one here in the UK at 1PM yesterday, Id recieved am email saying it had been shipped at 7pm. They estimate it will arrive to me today. If it does, that will be incredible. Less than 24 hours from payment, shipment accross the Atlantic, and delivery.

And the American chap I spoke to on the phone was so nice and friendly. Not like the stiff upper-lipped salesmen on the phone here. I love Apple, and I dont even have a Mac, sitting on the Fence about that though.

Well I owned enough unibodies to know that the glossy screen sucks.
