iPad iPad Wallpaper

As I've said already, it'd be better if wallpapers were a higher res than 1024x1024, whilst still maintaining that aspect ratio, because on a lot of them, you can see a lot jpg compression artefacts.
Making them .png's would be better also.

I totally agree and one issue we have here is we can't post .png files b/c many of them are larger in file size and over the posting limit. Each image I post is in .png unless it's too large then I have to use .jpg.

The point of this thread is to post images for the most part and not links to other locations with the higher res image. It's a toss up in meeting in the middle I guess. If I see one I really, really like I go in search of the higher res.

Whoa. iPhone 4 did a good job of killing this thread. Regular updates were daily, but as soon as iPhone 4 arrived, that was that, lol.
 
could someone pls make this guy fit onto the ipad screen so that even if it is turned around it looks ok?

If you are lucky one of Apple's latest gadget, you know that it does not seem quite complete without the iPad with stunning background image a great variety of backgrounds are available now.
 
Go to Deviant Art website and search for "Silk Wood"

it will be the second result

It has the resolution to fit the iMac 27", iPad, & iPhone

I use this wallpaper on all 3 devices and it looks great!
