It sounds like whether or not a hard pull happens can vary from person to person:

"Citizens One reserves the right to perform a credit inquiry as needed to determine loan eligibility. Depending on your account performance and transactional history in the iPhone Upgrade Program, Citizens One may approve your new loan application without your credit being impacted."
Interesting. I mean.. my account is on auto pay with a cc on file so I can’t see how I’d have any reason for them to check again. I don’t have notifications set up but Credit Karma will let me know at some point if it happens.

What’s odd is I still haven’t seen my Apple Card inquiry come up. Lol

Credit Karma is great for instant notifications—definitely consider setting them up just for a little peace of mind. Literally seconds after I was pre approved I received an email from them.

Anywho, can’t wait to get my hands on that Midnight Green Max!

Just pre-approved for a Space Gray 11 Pro 256GB.

No hard inquiry on any of the credit bureaus. Existing IUP from last year.

Not looking forward to the 5am wakeup on Friday.

Pre-approved for 64GB space gray 11 Pro, first time using iUP. Ordered a black case and screen protector from totallee as well. I expect next years base model to be 128GB, until then I’ll be ok with 64GB. Worst case I have to offload a bit to iCloud.

Well just realized I ordered the 11 pro case not the max case so looks like I’ll have to make a trip to the store and exchange it since it shipped already.

Pre-approved iUP for 64GB Space Grey iPhone 11 Pro.

I signed up using my home address for billing and shipping. Am I able to change the shipping address to my work address?

Just a data point for those wondering like I was....

Just completed my pre-approval as an existing iUP enrollee and DID get a hard credit inquiry via Equifax. Not the end of the world, but it kinda sucks having a hard pull every year for a phone. Oh well.
I remember few years back where some were saying that it was a hard it even though they were currently on iUP and some were a soft. I checked creditkarma and doesn't show that mine was a hard it, so pretty sure mine was soft and fir the past 3 years has been soft hit. But post #275 pretty much explains it.

Right. At some point, when you have been making payments long enough, the need for credit is moot because the bank sees you pay every month so they can trust you.

I ordered Spigen Rugged Armor on Amazon for delivery next week. Not in a rush and will be here before the 20th or on the 20th.
I think it was iPhone 6 year (I can't recall) where I got the phone and went to the Apple store and they were completely out of accessories. That was absolutely crazy.

Yep. Mine is linked to a credit card so the monthly payments are added to my credit card and I pay them off when I get the statement. This year, I got pre-approved for the iUP and will be using my Apple Card.

Question here is will it be a 3% daily cash or 1%? Since the statement will come out as Citizen one and not from Apple. hmmm.

That must be crazy. I'm glad most case makers are releasing their cases available to order right after the Apple's iPhone announcement.

Samesies.

That's a really good question I don't think we can answer. I'm sure Apple can make an exception for Citizen One loans, however I'm not sure if they have or not.

I'm sure maybe they will? Because I believe Apple has expanded the 3% daily cash for Uber Eats and Uber.

I think we can all agree iPhone ordering has improved immensely since iPhone 6. I've done the preorder process about 6 times and honestly every year I'm surprised how much easier it gets.

I remember having every Apple device opened to multiple stores for iPhone5 and 6. iPhone 7 was better. XS was the best so far.

It seems to fall into the "if they don't, there will be hell, Apple will apologize and fix it" category.

its 3%. I’ve already made one payment on my IUP phone with my Apple Card and it was 3%. See the screenshot I’m posting.

If I go and choose my carrier (T-Mobile), it shows three different ways I can get the phone: iPhone Payments, Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program, and One-Time Payment. All three say "Use Apple Card as your monthly payment method and get 3% Daily Cash"
