So, they ship an amount of packages that UPS is not able to process at times, if they ship exceedings of that amount then there can be potential hold ups for some of their packages. Klaus M: The records show your package actually got shipped out of China already and is on its way to Louisville, KY.
Me: you just said two different things so i am confused

Klaus M: That's okay. I hope this clear it up. The package was only scanned in China as part of the special processing we have with Apple, but the scans that we have in the system show a departure scan. Sometimes the exception scans are uploaded in buddle depending on the packages that were scheduled to be given that day.
Klaus M: So the scan of special processing could have triggered for it to show up as tentative .
Me: so it is 100% on a plane as we speak that will arrive in Louisville KY ?
Klaus M: Yes, that is correct. Internally, we can see the air container it is in and everything.
If everything goes as planned, the package will be scheduled for 9/20, pending normal customs clearance.

Kinda cool info.... and the UPS guy confirmed my iphone is on a plane that will land in Louisville KY as we speak! If anyone has my same scans they are probably travelling with me!

I’m wondering since mine is going all the way back to Montana the people who live further away from Louisville got prioritized to the first movement. But just a guess

I really feel sorry for the UPS customer service folks this time of year and all the calls and chats they get... that they really don't need to get if people were just patient and trusted the system.....

I had one on my X. It will scratch your band on your phone if you take it off and on much, at least with the silver one. Other than that, I loved mine.

well me too.... but it's annoying because when i talk to UPS they keep telling me conflicting things.... like the one i just talked to said it was on a plane headed to Louisville and then i just spoke with another person that said this - "I do apologize for the conflicting information given, it appears that the supervisor spoke with you before the shipment was further scanned .

According to my records, the package may experience further delays as we have a contractual agreement with the shipper which limits the amount of packages that can be handed over to UPS on any given day"

so it is now delayed...

@caligirl - i get your point and i'm not being a douche to them but it is also their job.... i'm just annoyed because clearly they do not know what is going on. i am travelling for work all of next week so would be nice to get this new phone friday as expected.

previous releases... like phones were palletized. so if it's still the same (which makes the most sense from a logistical perspective) all the gold 64's fly together, all the green 256's, etc etc. They don't put one gold, one green, one gray, etc on a pallet that is bound for say... tampa...

the like pallets get split up in KY in their high tech sorting center!
