Got kind of a unique situation going on. I am traveling to Europe beginning next Wednesday, meaning I will most likely be there on launch day. What are my options? Is there anyway for me to get the phone while I am over there? I am on Verizon in the US.
Interesting because I never had to pay a penny for signing up for the UPS My Choice. It should be free service to use.
Actually I didn’t wait in line that long. It’s just the WiFi-in the store was horrible. I hope the experience in DC is better.

Well My UPS choice is free. There is no charge to use it. But you are referring to the premium version which you do pay for.
So which country are you visiting? I strongly recommend against buying an iPhone in Europe, as it is a lot more expensive here. Anyway, if you're staying in Germany, I can make a reservation for you in an Apple Store, if that is an option for you.

So if you've already made 12 payments on IUP, do they give a pro-rated/full refund on that 13th payment while we're still in limbo receiving the new phone? Assuming we order on 9/13. There's no way we'll be able to ship our old phones back before the 13th payment is deducted.

Excited for this year, even though every year in August i'm like "eh" and then September rolls around and I am ready for a new iphone. Last year using the App for IUP was super smooth, I recall them advising to get pre-qualified before the pre-orders went live and it worked like a charm.
What specifically about myChoice do you want?

No premium has a 40 dollar fee but the free version is plenty for tracking yearly iphones.
if you can’t see the option for free when you are logged in I would imagine that means you already have the free account.
Use the iOS app after the phone appears on the website and in the Apple Store app.

I’m currently on AT&T NEXT plan with my iPhone X. Do I have to payoff the balance before pre-ordering via the iUP? Or can I wait till right after I pre-order? I plan on trading in my X.

that says a PREMIUM MyChoice account. Probably why they’re asking you for $40. I just have a UPS MyChoice account, it’s free.
I'm wondering that too. I'll be out of town the weekend of the 20th and won't be able to get my phone until Monday.

As far as AT&T Next, I believe the answer is no. That is a separated loan with a separate company. If you sign up for IUP, it's a separate loan with a separate bank.

I doubled check with AT&T and Apple. You are correct, they are totally separate. I don’t need to rush to payoff my AT&T Next balance, but will do it soon.
