Mine came in 3.5 hours early. Usually they go to all the businesses near by first but he showed here at 1130. Now I'm hving to deal with my old phone being on 13.1 beta and now I can't restore from back ups. :(
I’m on iOS 13 beta, too. I read articles online that explain how to do it. Wait for your new phone to arrive, then backup your old phone BEFORE removing the beta profile on it (as a precaution in case there are probs downgrading). If you have Apple Watch data, you’ll want to do all this at the same time so you don’t lose your steps/calories, etc. After backup of your old phone, remove the beta profile under Settings —>General—>Profiles and Device Managment Choose the Beta profile and hit “Remove Profile.” Follows whatever instructions that pop up, then once the profile is removed and your phone has restarted, check that all your apps, data, etc looks correct, nothing missing, etc.

Now do a SECOND backup of your phone to iCloud, which should now be on the iOS 12 version. If it prompts you to upgrade to iOS 13 official/Gold version and you want to do it, then I’d still do the second backup before upgrading your old phone, since upgrades can get wonky and you don’t want to lose data.

If you don’t upgrade old phone to iOS 13, restore your ios12 backup to your new phone, then when everything is working and all your data has synced, I recommend “Erase Network Settings” to avoid any Bluetooth/WiFi issues that sometimes happen when moving to a new iOS.

I know the UPS drivers probably hate this day and they're in a huge rush but I answered the doorbell to my driver already having tagged my door with the "Sorry we missed you sticker." Be aware and answer the door quickly!

(And, yes, I'm playing with 512GB Pro now.)
I remember one year I sat in my living room all day. Staring at my front door and the tv. Just waiting for UPS. When all of the sudden I got a notification that they missed me. Even though I didn’t budge from that spot. I had to hunt down the UPS guy in my neighborhood. Before he left.

Thankfully I found him. And he gave me my phone. But when I asked him to provide me with an explanation on how he “missed” me. If he didn’t even stop at my address. He had none.

Hi everyone! Happy launch day! My green pro max is on the truck and I’m so excited! Here’s some comic relief while we wait...

I tell my 4 year old daughter...”Mommy is getting the new iPhone today!”...and she says..”your new phone has eyes??!! That is awesome! Can I see the eyes?? What color are they?”

awwww...to be 4 again

Yeah, I understand it’s an easy process, I guess I’m more interested to know that this will skirt the activation fees. And as others have said, they already have a fee...
I tried it last year with VZ and putting in my current SIM just wouldn't activate on the new phone. So I am unsure if I am going to do that, or just turn it on with the SIM it shipped with.

Dang, I just held an iPod touch: they are so tiny! Talk about thin and light. i know a lot of people would love a phone that small, I wouldn’t want to go back to a phone that size.

A phone that size was great for one-handed use when walking but I don't think I could go back either.

Mine is taking quite a while to activate. Already at 45 minutes.

I posted this earlier to someone who was stuck on activating as well...Same thing happened to me last year. I rebooted the phone after letting it sit for like 20 minutes, trying to activate. Once it rebooted, it activated in seconds...

I’ve never had one since I started just swapping the sims. Been doing it since...whatever iPhone it was the Apple started using the nano sim. Never had one.
What would be interesting is, are the people who are getting the fees using the next program? I buy my phones outright.

I doubt there's a whole lot of accountability unless the driver does it multiple times. He/she can always skip and then say "Oops. My mistake." and if they're running behind schedule, there is probably some motivation to do so.

Ugh my UPS GPS tracking page hasn't updated in like an hour... truck has been in the same spot exactly less than a mile from my house. Doubt it's been at the same spot, though. Probably just off sync or something.

Driver probably on lunch. I had mine sitting in a parking lot of a church for over an hour before he moved!
