driver seemed annoyed!

I love how my UPS driver spent over an hour in my subdivision, gets one street over (like, I could throw a football that far) and then heads back out to do other deliveries.

But "MyChoice" map still shows "In my area"...lol

Certain deliveries have to be done by a certain time they do those first. Sometimes they have to make the same round twice

Just to confirm, signature is required for UPS delivery on Apple orders?

Afew years ago the driver just dropped my phones off at the door. Didn't even ring the bell. I was livid. 2k worth of phones just dumped at my door.

I have watched the truck go past my street many times in a day before they finally get to me too!

Another time the delivery was set for late in the day. I went about my business and was out running errands. Guess who came by earlier than scheduled? Again I was not happy. We had to go out to the main UPS office and pick them up. I don't trust UPS to abide by their delivery times at all.

You'll have to wait for the "almost there" status. UPS drivers have a device that tells them exactly where to go next that they're supposed to follow, so their routes are all computer-generated.

Yeah I know, I'm not upset. It is what it is. Of course I want my phone & watch, but I'm not trippin...

(Unlike some other posts on here...lmao)

Lmao ya I’m not a fan of waiting either but I know I’m not ahead of anyone everyone is waiting for one too. I mean mine is ready for pickup I just don’t get off til 3

I don’t think they owe me any compensation. And BTW, the order page doesn’t say Estimated Delivery, it says Delivers On. Yes, it’s a first world problem, but Apple tells me the delay was due to the storm in SE US last week. It very well could have affected shipments arriving from Shenzhen that have to clear customs.

My statement was more about Apple doesn’t owe the original poster any compensation either. It would be a nice gesture on the part of Apple is they did.

If I wanted to wait until after launch day, I wouldn’t bother to get up and be ready to order. This is the first year it was 7am local time. In years past, I had to be up and ready at 2 am for midnight pacific time.
Exactly. I was in before three after and from confirmation until the last minute this morning, I was seeing today 730-8p pickup. If I knew there was an issue from the get go, I could have tried a different capacity right away.

I am on AT&T Next or whatever they're calling it these days... This is my first year of it. Once I get my new Pro Max delivered today and transfer everything... How do I return my old phone to AT&T? Will they ship me a box and return label?

Try the AT&T thread since there will be more users on there. I haven’t seen anyone here using next lol

I ordered a 256gb grey Pro Max and a 64gb grey Pro Max through the AT&T website on the 13th, around 10:00AM EST. Up until yesterday, the delivery date was 9/20 on the AT&T website. I got a USPS (it's weird that I seem like the only one going USPS) tracking number around 11AM PST yesterday, but didn't get an actual scan until 9:50 PM, and it was at a sorting facility in Texas. It hasn't had another scan since then (12 hours have passed), and says it is being delivered by Saturday at 3PM. I wonder if there's any chance I'll still get it today?

I know the UPS drivers probably hate this day and they're in a huge rush but I answered the doorbell to my driver already having tagged my door with the "Sorry we missed you sticker." Be aware and answer the door quickly!

(And, yes, I'm playing with 512GB Pro now.)

This delivery tracker seems a little unsafe. Like, I can see pretty well what houses the guy is stopping at. Seems to make it easier for thieves to swoop in. I guess it's no easier than just following the UPS truck though and seeing if he leaves a package on a porch.

Was going to get coffee to meet my UPS driver here he said and the coffee shop was near where he was at!

Got my phone super early! Lol

On my way home to unbox!

My coworker just got his max pro. He’s coming from an XS Max. He’s pretty disappointed in the lack of 3D Touch. It’s a pretty big speed difference vs haptic touch. It’s a good second slower or so. Curious to hear others thoughts on that feature.
I’ve been on the iOS 13 beta for a couple months, and I absolutely hate the haptic feedback! Def’n slower to use, and it doesn’t feel intuitive at all. Trade-off to 5 extra hours of battery life, I guess.
