Ask a guy that forgot that his UPS Customer Center closes at lunch and doesn't reopen until after 5pm anything.

This delivery tracker seems a little unsafe. Like, I can see pretty well what houses the guy is stopping at. Seems to make it easier for thieves to swoop in. I guess it's no easier than just following the UPS truck though and seeing if he leaves a package on a porch.

Ya but not anyone can use it. You have to be on My Choice and have a an eligible package.

Look at this thing starring at me at work... Its been real yall. hope everyone gets their phones on times

I don’t know how Verizon works, but I think they charge the fee whenever a new phone is activated on a line. It’s total nonsense, which is why you should ask them to reverse the fee, if you end up getting charged.
I remember the first year of the IUP they (Apple) said no upgrade fee because you were going through them and they were right but I guess the carriers got privy of this and since it technically comes with new sim they know and charge the $40 (Verizon). I recently bought my daughter the XR and did sim free pay in full and just popped in her Sim and never got the charge. So I am going to try switching Sims before turning new phone on and fingers crossed it will work. If someone with Verizon has tried this or does try this let me know how it goes.

So I just saw the UPS driver at a local business down the road from me and just went for it talk nice to him and he actually gave me my both my phones! Helped that I had a delivery yesterday and asked him about the iPhones. He said he remembered me

This is the only place I would feel comfortable admitting that I hunted down a UPS driver last year! :D

Mine came in 3.5 hours early. Usually they go to all the businesses near by first but he showed here at 1130. Now I'm hving to deal with my old phone being on 13.1 beta and now I can't restore from back ups. :(

That's what made me think about it. It's a local thing, theoretically, so if you're tracking a package to you then you can see other deliveries in your area. I guess it's a crime of opportunity kind of thing. Not always the case though, I'm 10+ miles away currently.

My coworker just got his max pro. He’s coming from an XS Max. He’s pretty disappointed in the lack of 3D Touch. It’s a pretty big speed difference vs haptic touch. It’s a good second slower or so. Curious to hear others thoughts on that feature.
It’s already got me a couple times. I used it with the keyboard all the time. That and to preview links and such. Sucks that it’s gone, Apple could of done so much more with it then what they did, but just didn’t take the time to. Either way. I’ll move on and forget about it.

Dang, I just held an iPod touch: they are so tiny! Talk about thin and light. i know a lot of people would love a phone that small,

I wouldn’t want to go back to a phone that size.

I agree. I’m using an iPhone 6s right now because I already sold my Max and I can’t wait to get my pro max! I can’t stand how small this screen feels in my hands. I’m so used to the bigger screen! This has been a long week 😭

UPS does not know where my phone is. Went to the CC as I had requested it to be held. Never got the ready for pickup scan. Only the destination scan this morning. CC people were super nice and tried calling supervisors but the last “physical” scan they see was yesterday in Kentucky. They say all the rest of the scans are “virtual” scans and that my phone never made it to Newark or to the CC despite what I see as arrives, departure and destination scans.... Did not know about “virtual” scans vs. “physical”. So I left empty handed and now I’m on hold with UPS customer service. They said it will probably turn up somewhere today and make it back to the CC tonight or in the morning (but holding for CC pickup means I won’t be able to get it until Monday at the earliest). Frustrating but - oh well - first world problem for sure.

Something really similar happened to me last year. I held the phone to be held for pick-up at the CC but after the Destination Scan in the morning, it didn’t show any further updates. For hours. There was an update or two after that but nothing that said ready for pick-up. I waited it out and didn’t contact UPS, hoping it would resolve itself.

At about 4 pm, when it still wasn’t showing as ready for pick-up, I just went to the CC and told the employee about my situation. He was really nice and said he would go check in the back. Initially, after a few minutes, he came back and said he couldn’t find it but would check somewhere else. He disappeared again and after a few minutes came back with my delivery and gave it to me. He said he wasn’t sure what had happened or why the UPS system hadn’t been updating my status properly. He suggested that the package wasn’t scanned correctly and wasn’t placed in the right place at the CC. So it sounds like it may have been a combination of employee error and system error - not really sure.

I was frustrated that I sat around all day anxiously waiting for UPS to update its system status, when it seemed to be sitting at the CC because of some error(s) along the way. Still, that frustration lasted for just a minute as I finally had the phone in my hand. It really is a first world problem and I’m sure I contributed to it by having the phone held because I was impatient enough to wait a few more hours to have it delivered to my home. Does UPS’ pick-up system need work? Absolutely. I was just happy to have my phone at the end of all of it!

Haptic Touch can't match 3D Touch. I already dislike. It's too slow and seems like a cost cutting measure. I need to see if I can turn off Haptic Touch. Yes, I dislike it that much.
