I think Apple really did a great job this year on the updates. I’ve heard a lot of good reviews and people actually liking the upgrades and performance
 
I agree. I’ve never been more impressed with a camera on a phone until this year. And I have an 11 not Pro.

I’m not a huge camera user. Actually I rarely ever use it other than snapping something to send in iMessage or post on Twitter. My big thing is battery life this is the most I’ve gotten out of an iPhone

Got my IUP return kit, firm instructions to make sure SN on phone matches SN on return label. Return label has no SN. Called Apple, had to repeat the problem 3 times before they understood it. Endless wait, then the rep said I'm only returning one item so no need for a SN on the label but her supervisor said to verify the SN over the phone. No match. What?? Another endless wait, lots of back and forth, did I exchange the XS Max and get one with a different SN, no did not. Turned out the SN she read me was for my iPhone X, returned last year when I got the XS Max. Finally she said she found out that the box I was sent was connected with the correct SN for my XS Max. So I'm returning it in that box but gotta tell you, I won't rest easy until they verify that the return is complete. I've had fantastic luck with Apple senior advisors and upper management but some of the tier 1 folks could use more training.
One of the reason's why I opt for the in-store pick up because then I don't have to worry about the screw-ups when Apple sends those return kit. This way I trade in my iUP device at the Apple store and it's at the Apple's hand for them to deliver it to the headquarters, not me.
 
I got my Pro Max Silver Saturday night in Las Vegas at the Town Square Store, I has ordered n line with Apple and it was not to be delivered till October 10th, I kept checking all day Friday and Saturday to see if my store had any Pro Max in stock in any color and it kept stating NO but some of the other stores in town had some. I had originally ordered the Midnight Green. I went to the store to check out the new camera but in all honesty did not at all like the Midnight Green, it looked better on the website. The Apple Rep I was speaking with said, yes they were out of the Green but had all other colors. She checked and sure enough they had the silver so they set me a time to come back. In the mean time I canceled on Apple on line order. So just a heads up if you are close to an Apple store you may actually need to go into the store to check stock.
Also another interesting thing happened that this info may help others, I have the Goldman Sachs Apple Card so wanted to get the 3% cash back doing the payments, I have a very high limit and keep the balance at zero. Have used my the credit line several times but always with my phone or watch, I did have the card and activated it when I received it. When the store went to process the physical card it kept declining. So I called Apple Card Support, they stated there was no decline because no charge was sent through but I stood there and watched the in store Apple Rep process this. So then the Apple card rep states I have to use it via Apple Pay, the store states for purchasing the phone they cannot do it that way it has to be done with their card reader. The Apple Credit Card Rep is stating it is not being sent through on the store end and The store keeps trying and it gets declined. So the Apple credit Rep sends me over to a Resolutions desk of which case I was left on hold for 45 minutes. In the Mean time the actual store manager of Apple tells his employee to manually type in my account number rather than trying to use the chip on the card..viola!! It finally works. So if this happens to anyone else just tell them they must manually type in the number, you already have it on your existing phone along with your security number. If the store would have known this upfront It would have saved me well over an hour. I ended up taking my phone home to install, was really was quick and easy, I traded in my 8 Plus leaving it with the Apple store. Yeah!! for doing that. My only challenge was pairing my Apple 3 Watch but got that figured out so I was good to go quickly.
I was one of those that did not want to lose my Home Button Touch ID but can say I LOVE the new 11 Pro MAX and do not at all miss my Button :p

Ugh I hate when people think their package is more important than all the others on the truck that day.
Wow, I didn't expect such hostile replies. Like most people that placed an order, I was excited to get the iPhone.

I made the effort to get up at 5AM to place the order and I was given I delivery date of Friday the 20th. I expected to receive it by 3pm as stated on the tracking. I anticipated the delivery all day only to be let down.

I was just expressing my disappointed here where I thought there may be others that may have had the same experience.

But again that’s an estimate. What’s makes your package more important than anyone else’s.
 
Typing from my 11 Pro Max. Just got it from ups cc today. Wife pick it up this morning. I’ll be playing with it tomorrow. But far I miss the 3D Touch feature. Definitely in keyboard. For cursor.

I don’t he is saying that his package is more important than anyone else’s, but it’s certainly understandable how he feels. Who knows, maybe even you, or I, or anyone else that didn’t get it Friday may have been disappointed too.
 
Good call. They told me they’d have to cancel my order and I’d have to go through the whole Citizens loan process again if I wanted to use iUP. Getting a phone on launch day definitely isn’t worth another hard pull on my credit, so wait I will. Oh well!!

I’ll just live vicariously through my wife who will be having hers delivered on launch day lol.
Haha that's what I'm doing my wife got hers launch day but I'm waiting till the 4th-11th of October for mine 😩

So you couldn't get the 3% cash back because the Apple store did not have a Apple Pay NFC POS ?
 
My sister finally opened her new phone. She has no idea how to use all the new features on the phone. Her old one was a 6. She is so funny as I tried to explain the Face ID and all. It is a big change for her. I think she will really like it when she gets used to it.
 
Anyone who sent out their trade in to Apple, does your tracking say “Please check back later for scheduled delivery.” Just sent back yesterday, and it’s moving.
