Joined the board just to say that I had the same issue (well, my dad did). Not long after buying him the Apple iPhone 12 red leather case, he asked me why his phone silenced itself. I noticed that the mute switch was set to silent, so I switched it back and told him that was the problem. He kept coming back to me with the same problem, multiple times a day. Upon investigating I discovered that the phone pops out of the corners slightly and sometimes hits the mute switch, thereby silencing the ringer. I would add that he is extremely careful with his phone and never drops it nor throws or slams it on any surface.

It's so frustrating because it's such an expensive case, and it's fantastic in every other regard. I really want to love it. Oh well, I will be returning the case to Apple.
That is interesting because up to now, the TOP corners are the tight ones. It is the bottom corners on most of these cases that are the problem.

So, the corners popping off is contagious disease affecting the other corners too! :D

IMO, use just a small dash of Elmer’s glue (kid’s glue) on the troubling corner

The top left corner of my leather case is popping off. I've had this case since the end of December 2020, and the corner only started popping off this week. I didn't notice it at first. I kept finding my ring/silent switch to silent, and I thought my memory was going bad because, each time it happened, I couldn't remember switching it to silent. I was getting worried until I noticed that the corner of my phone was exposed. What a relief.

Same problem here with my Baltic blue and deep navy silicone case, launch day purchase. 🤦‍♂️ Phone pops out of the case bottom corners.

Got a black apple leather case recently, hasn’t popped out so far.

Might get my Baltic blue case and deep navy case replaced.

I forgot to mention that my silicone case has been popping off (top left corner) since day one. Both cases, I put into my pocket with the screen facing in and the top of the phone inserted first.

Hi everyone -

My Apple Leather case on my iPhone 12 Mini has been doing the same. The left bottom corner of the leather case keeps slightly popping out every time I pull my phone out from my jean pockets.

I just got myself a new Apple Leather case but not yet tried it.

So my question is, will you think that the new case will do the same over time?
Has anyone had the same issue even with a new Apple Leather case?

If so, then what would be the best case that will ensure that the corners will not pop out? Could be either a clear case, doesn't matter, as long as it will not pop out.

Was rocking my deep navy silicone case today, every time I took it out of my pocket the phone was popping out on one of the corners, going to return it, you'd think for $79 it would fit the phone correctly. 🤦‍♂️

Better not need a appointment to return it. 🙄

A few days ago I got myself a new Apple Leather case and that slightly popped out.

So I ordered two Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear cases and I’ll try that.

Replaced my deep navy silicone case that was always popping out for a cloud blue case, hopefully don’t have the same issues.

Looks near white, dodgy phone shot 😂 what do you think that case would look like with a graphite pro max?
Light baby blue and graphite, nah 🤔 phone still pops out 🤦‍♂️ Oh well at least I got a new case and you can’t see the lint and dust on this one.

Get this great case. I have the stealth black. 18 days shipping to Australia though but worth it.

Have seen a couple reports of people having to push the phone back in at the corners due to the iPhone 12 Apple leather case popping off. Is this a widespread/design issue? What has been your experience with the leather case? For those that have had the issue did a replacement make a difference?
Yep. I had the silicone case and the iPhone 12 Pro was often sticking out at one corner. I now have the leather case and the same is happening though not as often. I haven’t noticed a particular cause. I like the leather case much much more than the silicone.

I have a dark cherry leather apple case. And on my 13 pro max I’ve noticed the two bottom corners are much more prone to slipping out than the top. This is likely due to the camera cutout area being shaped to better hold the corner on..thus pulling the top corners tighter than the bottom. I also should note my case is brand new and the leather is quite slick. I know that over time the leather becomes more shaped to the phones edges and much more sticky and less slick as the dye and other conditioners wear down.

I bought a Product Red silicone case for my 13PM in February. It was assembled in China in 11/21 according to the box. I recently bought an Abyss Blue silicone case that was assembled in Thailand in 4/22. This new blue case seems to snap around the corners much more securely and I have not noticed it pop a corner yet. The product red one does it for time to time.

I engaged Apple support to try and get the red one replaced under warranty. After sending pictures they denied the warranty request because the red one might have been tight for a period of time when it was first new which they claim is not a manufacturing defect. I explained that I have two of the same case and they are not fitting the same, didn’t help. I am hoping that their customer relations team will contact me after filling out the survey. That team usually can make things happen.

It is sad and disappointing that you pay $40-$60 for an Apple case which they probably make for $5-$10 and they won’t warranty it when they don’t fit the phone snuggly.
