The same with the Red Product Silicone Case in my experience. Very annoying thing from Apple this time.
Hmmm, maybe I got 2 defective cases lol.Two iPhone 12 Pro Max’s in my household.
Between us we have three apple leather case and two apple silicone case.
No corner popping out in any of them.
I also switch between my apple leather and silicone cases, my silicone case still picks up lint like it’s going out of fashion. 🤦♂️🥺I don't know if it's just me, but these 2020 silicones feel really really nice...still do after a few months (comparing it to previous silicone cases I've had for XS Max, 6 Plus. I don't know what the iPhone 11 cases felt like).
They just feel softer. Also for me personally, not much lint and dust build up like the previous versions.
Hopefully, one day, Apple will use the same materials that they use for Apple Watch Sport band (Fluoroelastomer) on the cases! Fluoroelastomer stuff is magical IMHO…rubber, yet does not pick crap up.I also switch between my apple leather and silicone cases, my silicone case still picks up lint like it’s going out of fashion. 🤦♂️🥺
Hopefully one day apple can solve this problem.
Apple saddle brown I ordered on 02/22 for my mini has been fine. I’m using it daily now.Do we know if there is any progress on this issue? As I don’t want to order again to have to send back again 😞
Exactly this! I have a 12 pro and was using the baltic blue case for past three months. No signs of the corners popping out BUT I dropped the phone on concrete this past week and two corners popped out slightly...enough to cause a small nicks/scratches in two corners of the phone. Horrible case for drop protection! A cheap $5 case would have kept the phone secured. I'd stay away from this version. The problem is NOT with face-in or face-out in pocket…..the problem is that with the corners popping out is that if you drop your phone face first, then your phone are at risk of shattering because the corners peel back easiLy.
Best advice given here in quite some time.I will add my 2 cents worth, bought a saddle brown for the 12 PM from amazon and it was loose. As others have said, the corners popping out isn't a big deal by itself but if the corners are easy to pull off the case will NOT protect the phone in a fall. It the case isn't protective, why bother with it?
Also, if you are looking for alternative leather cases, stay AWAY from Blackbrook. There is a separate thread here about them but basically worse quality than the apple leather cases and overall a very poor quality case. I'm going to have to give up on leather this year unless somebody new comes along.
Same problem here. Two short drops and I have knicks in 3 corners of the metal band now. The corners of the case were popped out when I picked it up. This was with two separate Apple leather cases. I’ve been using Apple leather cases for years and haven’t had this problem prior to the 12 Pro cases.Exactly this! I have a 12 pro and was using the baltic blue case for past three months. Seems pretty common. It affected both of my leather cases. I’m using an Apple clear case now. I was getting too many scuffs on the metal band when the leather case corners would pop off after a drop (three drops, three corners scuffed). I was worried it would eventually result in screen cracks.Either I have very bad luck or I have much higher fit expectations because I’ve tried 5 different apple leather cases and give up. Every one of them fit poorly on the bottom corners, wayyyy too easy to pull it off. I’m waiting on both a decided amd a saddleback case, they both HAVE to be better than the apple case.
I've tried several cases on the 12 and 12 mini and came to the conclusion I don't think any case will be able to reliably hold on to the flat edges. Rather than glue it why don't we just all go caseless like SJ wanted?
I highly, highly doubt that the phones are the issueIf your case is coming off that frequently your phone is likely defective or distorted.
