iPhone 12 Apple leather cases?

Finally received the Bullstrap case today. I think this one fills the gaps of the Mujjo. The leather smells real, color and grain looks more genuine, and has metal buttons. Like the Mujjo, the magsafe puck charges the phone fine, despite not having any magnets built in. Here’s some comparison photos of the Mujjo and Bullstrap. I already returned the Apple leather case. The Bullstrap is my favorite by far but I’ll definitely keep both of these.

These look nice but honestly I prefer the Apple case. The leather grain is so fine, and the texture is incredibly soft. I really like the way it feels.... a question of taste I guess! I've been using my SB Apple case for a few weeks now and love it. It's become grippier and it started smelling like leather, too.

If you like soft, the Apple leather sleeve is very soft. In fact, I think it is softer than the stock Apple leather case.

Haha yes, but I prefer cases to sleeves. And TBH I'm not a big fan of this sleeve, looks really bulky and not user friendly to me.

Hey guys, I’ve had a Baltic blue leather case for a while for my 12 Pro Max. It has also become a bit sticky feeling and also the MagSafe circular mark is starting to develop. The other day, I dropped it from my sofa on to the wooden floor and it already has chipped the leather from the top left corner so there is a bit of a minor tear there.

I know Apple takes returns until January, would they take this case as a return or because it has been used a bit, it will not qualify?

Returning it because you damaged it, is wrong but the magsafe mark is why I didn't buy one.

Is one more grippy than the other? What about softness? My only worry about the Bullstrap is that there are some complaints about durability after a couple months in the reviews on their website.

I can speak from experience the durability isn’t quite there. I’m pretty hard on my cases but bullstrap hasn’t lasted me more than 3-4mos. I feel if I really want the leather to feel “ok” I have to condition it like every 2 weeks

The apple leather case keeps popping off in turn corners so I am going to return it since it is too expensive to not offer great protection with how the corners pop off, so imagine if I drop the phone, how easily it will come from the case and smash.

The case I am looking for does not have to be leather but I want one that is quality, can last for a couple of years and offers daily good protection from drops etc....

My battery took a huge hit when I switched from silicone to leather. I know batteries degrade over time.... but I had 105.2% battery until I got the leather case- then a hard fall to 102% over night.

Yep, solid case though, my wife has a folio version nearly 2 years old.

Due to possibly the extra heat generated with the leather case? I always wondered that myself actually. But in this case 3.2% overnight seems a bit much to be attributed to that or any single external factor. I would say that drop would have happened regardless as it’s over the design capacity. I would expect in the not to distant future for it to fall down to 100% and then stay there. Then possibly the leather case and the method of charging may play a role. But all those factors will only possibly affect the battery health over time. This drop however was bound to happen one way or another.

Not disagreeing at all. I just wonder if the MagSafe might degrade the battery faster.

Wow! It’s held up really well! That’s the look I’m going for and hopefully with more usage mine will age the same.
