I always put an Apple Silicone case on my iPhones so I could not care less what color it is. And yes, Apple offers a clear case that gets yellow after just couple months of use. No tks.

Good. I thought I was the only one who saw more purple than blue. I know I'm getting older and my eyes aren't what they used to be, but that's purple all day and twice on Sunday. I agree they should go full purple (niiice) or straight navy (been saying this for years). These in between, kinda sorta, could be colors look nice but something out of an 8 count box of Crayons would look nicer to me.

Not sure what your post has to do with the topic, but nonetheless, I'd like to point out the PCalc app for all iOS devices and now also available for MacOS. I've been using it since it first came out, years ago, and I've been very happy with it, including ongoing support. I can't think of what more you could want from a calculator app, tbh. Check it out! (I have no affiliation with the app author; I'm just a very pleased customer). 😁

Um, a clear case can and does show off a phone's color quite well, thanks.

I really like this blue & would probably choose this as my next color.

And yes, lol, I'm one of those folks who'll toss a cace on it. I have the midnight green & use a green silicone Apple case & I like it!

Before the new camera bump, the case would conceal the entire back of the phone, now there's still that square that's still presented, so TECHNICALLY (LOL), you still see the color. I'd just pair it with a navy blue silicone case, haha!

It's kinda funny you say that. OnePlus introduced their Concept One at CES a couple of weeks ago. They used electro chromatic glass to hide the rear cameras, darkening the glass portion of the back that covers the module. I'd imagine it's not to far a reach to think, as you said, in the near future we could just choose our colors from an app in the settings. And you're right, probably cost a few extra pennies to get that functionality. 'Til then, some bold colors would be nice.

Yup. But the initial attraction to the phone is the color. ‘Midnight green’ is probably the most unique color Apple has ever offered, but I think blue would be a really nice addition, and it’s a huge marketing point for Apple to continue to expand on colors, because that’s Eye-candy for consumers

Looks more purple to me as well. 20 years ago I had luggage that looked very close to this color I said was purple but my family said it was blue. Not sure if getting older has anything to do with it.
