Good point. ProMotion is delicious on the iPad Pro, but I wonder will it have the same impact on such small screens?I'm with you there, I do not want to spend an extra $150 to have more than 64gb. I also am not particularly interested in LiDAR. However, the Pro models are rumored to be the only ones with pro motion (120hz), and I've been spoiled by that feature on the iPad Pro, even just scrolling websites feels so smooth, so it's something I'll likely splurge for.
iPhone X was OLED, no?
😅👍Base storage for $649 is 4 GB.
I think the issue here is battery size. The more powerful the SoC, the more power demand, and a bigger battery is needed. That’s why the latest iPhone have been bigger, among other reasons.I wish Apple would get in their head that some people want a small pro phone. That’s a big part of what people wanted with the new SE but they didn’t get that. Why do they have to keep getting bigger screen sizes? It’s not like my hands or pants pockets are getting bigger.
That’s actually a great lineup for Fall.fixed it for you.
[automerge]1588294643[/automerge]Yes, but it was $999, and thus not less than $999.
Almost regretting my SE 2020 purchase.
They've still got a LOT of listening to do.Something clicked in Apple and they can't stop listening to customers...
That blue 5C was beautiful! I wanted one so bad.Yeah, the anodised effect hides scratches doesn’t it.
Personally I wish they’d give us the beautiful bright coloured plastic of the 5C again!
I have a feeling that the 5.4" iPhone will sell like hotcakes, and Apple will be surprised by the demand for the smaller iPhone.
Best is the notch. Second is the hole punch. Third is a bigger bezel.Gross.
Teardrop is the ugliest "solution" out of all of them.
Best is a regular top bezel. Second best is hole punch. Third best is notch.
He won’t be. No place for Face ID. Will still have a notch. If Tim Cook is upholding the design standard from Steve Jobs&Apple then the iPhone 12 will 100% look like this

Because the body size on this rumored 5.4” iPhone 12 will be more like the body size of the old 6/7/8. It’s going to nearly the screen size of the old “plus” phones in a body as small or even smaller than the 4.7” models. Why do people think the 5.4" size is small?
The 6s+/7/8 Plus size is 5.5" and many people now still consider that too Big!
The 5.4" size would be a good replacement for the Plus owners, hopefully having at least 1080p or better display.
Some people have reported issues with the OLED display with the PWM issue.
So no iPhone 11s
I may be out of the loop here, but are we expecting a 6.7" screen in the same 11 Pro Max body or is the iPhone 12 Pro Max going to be slightly larger? I saw the images showing an even smaller bezel but I doubt that those alone are enough to get 5mm more screen.
And does 5G mean mm-wave support on all devices? I know that was being rumored to only be on the higher end devices in 2020.
Given how it looks on other devices out it looks great. As long as we get that on the pros and improved cameras i will be happy with that.Good point. ProMotion is delicious on the iPad Pro, but I wonder will it have the same impact on such small screens?
Yeah, and would it be too much to ask for a base capacity of 128GB instead of 64GB?5.4in is about to be the best iPhone model of all-time.
The 12 Pro will probably have a ProMotion display and be redesigned (similar to the iPhone 4/4s/5/5s/SE 2016). Probably something else to justify the $350 price difference. Not that it will necessarily succeed on that front. If the only differences between 12 and 12 Pro are going to be cameras + LiDAR, I’m gonna sell my iPhone X and upgrade to an iPhone 12 5.4”.
I love the idea of going back to a smaller phone without compromising too much on features.
