Since apple's eye rippIng OLED screens suck, they should be cheaper than models with LCD screens.
Exactly what I thought. We just will have the SE being sold by Apple, unless they are really releasing an SE+. Otherwise you need to buy from carrier, marketplace sites or privately.

Still big and ugly. Only acceptable notch is v-notch.

Most likely Apples pricing

$649 is probably for 64GB
$749 for 128GB
$849 for 256GB
$949 for 512GB

The SE is $399 for 64GB, $449 for 128GB. They’re only charging an additional $50 for 128GB now days. They’re charging a premium for 512GB, and it’s only offered on the Pro models.

Following their current pricing on storage:

$649 for 64GB
$699 for 128GB
$799 for 256GB
$999 for 512GB

I had sworn off on the iPhone and, in a domino effect, Apple in general, mainly because of the escalating prices, aided by the escalating currency in my country (the dollar is currently 3.5x as expensive compared to its 2011 bottom, and 70% more expensive than in 1Q2018). I currently have an iPhone X, which still serves me very well, and I'm not going back to an LCD.

But if Apple does release a slightly smaller model (the X is very hard to operate single-handed, 5.4" just might be usable), with OLED, and at $649, I may just reconsider. If the base storage is 128 GB (and let's be honest, it's about time), they'll probably have a sale from me.

So with 4 new phones + the new SE what older models (if any) does Apple keep in the lineup?

And if the non-pro models are also OLED will they also have smaller bezels or will they keep larger bezels as another way of making the pro models look more premium?
Knowing Apple, only Pro models would have thinnest bezels this time around. It's just a guess but why would they spend more money on premium tech to drive away people from the top-of-the-line?

6.1 12 Pro will replace my X for sure.. Hopefully most of the rumored design changes will happen. I'll miss the 5.8 size but I most definitely don't want a smaller phone and definitely not a non Pro

That makes zero sense. If you said "definitely not a non-LiDAR one", OK, I can understand. I hope you're not implying just because Apple calls something Pro, you have to have it by virtue of being named Pro, regardless of features. Unless $1,000 is just chump change to you.

Hope this isn’t true. Screen sizes are perfect the way they are. Don’t want to “downgrade” to a non-Pro just to keep a similar sized screen as the 11 Pro. It’s just barely small enough for my hands.

Why not? Is there a specific feature the Pro has that you really need, or is it just because Apple calls them Pro?

First, John Prosser is my new ‘Go-to’ source.

Second, This is probably one of the best years I’ve ever for Apples lineup in terms of having a price point/size iPhone for everyone. If this rumor proves to be true, they’re literally have a target demographic for every consumer all the way from a $399 iPhone To the Max Pro.

(Personally, I also hope there will be a keynote this year, but I’m sure it will be in a much different form if there is one.)

Taking literally what you said, $400 (in a direct conversion, without import taxes) is two months of minimum wage in Brazil. Even $200 would be expensive, although not out of the question. Yes, I know Apple doesn't target that particular demographic.

What will the dimensions and size of 5’4 iPhone be and how comparable it is to the original iPhone, 3G and 3Gs with 3.5’ screens?

New to the iUP. Last year was my first year iUP(ing) from an XS to 11 Pro and was not expecting to plop done another $100-150-ish (my memory is fuzzy) in order to upgrade. I know there is a ~$30 activation fee. But the additional costs was surprising. My accountant lost her sh*t.

Is that typical? If so, I may need to start laying the groundwork now to ensure a smoother upgrade process. ;)

I’ve been wanting that ever since iPhone 4S wasn’t called iPhone 5. Yikes, what a burn those 4S rumors were back then. I held out hope with iPhone X as that could’ve been the transition point for people; letter, not number, then they could just let it all go. But noooo.. “iPhone 11”, ugh so stupid it doesn’t even look good in print.

Numbers should’ve dropped from iPad after the 3rd/4th gen fiasco, too. I thought “iPad Air” was gonna be it. Then Cook uttered “iPad Air 2” and I just groaned... finally they did it with iPad mini 3/4 and iPad proper after the “Air 2”.

Maybe this year, tho... 🤞

LOL I’m 100% with you there. I remember that 4s launch vividly, all the rumours leading up, the tear drop shape iPhone, etc. I had the same reaction to iPad Air 2 as well. At least iPads now have a clean / simpler naming setup. I’d love to see iPhone go the same way.

So which one won’t be out till October or November , 12Pro Max ?

It’s likely a staggered launch with announcements followed by a September through November launch. [Similar to what happened with the iPhone X launch in November 2017]. Which in way, if Apple has this many models launching, I think they should be segregated, that way it gives different emphasis to different phones. Otherwise, that’s a lot of phones to present all in one Keynote, and it gives Apple extended time if they need to due to the pandemic.
