Try it, you have the chance to sent it back! I think it is worth a try as it seems like there is something between 10% that is keeping you from buying it.

You can’t send iPhones back in India. All sales are final.

At the moment I can’t stare at the screen of my 12 mini for more than a few minutes due to eye strain, so since I set up the phone yesterday at approx 12.15 pm ish with 93% battery, it’s now at 34% at 22.01 hrs UK time. Since I changed some settings (keep brightness above 50% to get away from PWM and lowered white point), my eyeballs feel better but will see how it goes. Apart from this issue it’s a fantastic device (would be even better with power button Touch ID though).

I keep trying to post a battery pic but the phone keeps dying on me. Just kidding, I didn’t own one but they’re very cool.

Yesterday I ended the day around 65% with light use. Today I'm running around 61% at 5pm with a bit more use including some hours of streaming music. Running about 10-15% less than the iPhone 12 I was using for 3 weeks. More than acceptable for me. Apple's website rates the battery better than the XS and anything earlier and so far that lines up with my experiences.

Or wait till, and I'm sure it will happen, for an Apple Magsafe battery pack to put on, or at least an Apple battery case.

That defeats the purpose. In that case it makes more sense to stick to my 11 Pro.

Got my iPhone Mini on Friday and today is Monday. So far only loaded once - says it all? I'm very happy!

This phone so just amazing, I come from a 6s. My use is definetly not lightweight. I am used to take care of the battery of my phone and I have used the mini only in battery saving mode so far. Maybe because I am coming from the 6S but this phone is a beast and it lasts me definitely more than a day despite intense use, but still too early to judge since I am on my second working day. In calls and chats since this mornign and at 15:40 still above 60%

Try to use it without the battery safe mode unless that is something you do in general. How would you really know for you that the mini is different from the 6s and it is, but I’m just asking. Don’t you miss out on somethings being in safe mode?

6S was always in battery saving mode and I want to compare like for like. End of the day right now and still above 30 %.

the point here is that the 6S in battery saving mode was super slow and using the battery in a couple of hours (I replaced the battery several times)

here the mini is super fast in battery saving mode and the battery lasts at least 5 times the 6s!

For all looking for a replacement for a small phone, battery is definitely not an issue but rather an improvement as compared to old gen iPhones

Well I got my mini on Friday afternoon about 4. That night I put it on my old charger, which started charging, but then immediately quit (the cable was going bad before and i just haven't replaced it so nothing wrong with the phone.) I didn't notice that the phone didn't charge at all so I carried on all day Saturday, did the same thing Saturday night and didn't notice it on Sunday either. I finally noticed when I went to bed on Sunday night that my battery was in the 50s % so I put it on my charger. Woke up this morning and realized it hadn't charged at all last night so I threw it on my iPad charger for about 25 minutes while I was taking a shower and getting dressed and I'm sitting here this afternoon at 72%.

Although, my guess is that most people are going to use slightly more battery than me 😂

P.S.
For anyone curious, It is about 2 PM and I have exactly 11 minutes of screen time reported...

Judging by the videos on YouTube, 12 mini gets 8~8.5 hours of screen on time. If that's the case, that's actually very good. I am getting myself and iPhone 12 Mini tomorrow, and if battery is going to be OK in the next couple of weeks, I might make it my daily driver for the next few years.
